lmao guys will say ‘I know a place’ and then they drive you to their idyllic and wild childhood home . and you understand they belong here, in this other, unreal world. and then they tell you that they come here because they sometimes dream of wasps (lonesome) and that he’s trying to wake the long-sleeping dream-creatures in the field. that he’s been trying, all by himself (lonesome). and you wonder why this is so important. and he tells you this his brother is one of them. that he dreamt him and he never knew it (lonesome). you see the way he looks at you (you: lonesome and unknowable and separate). how he calls you a magician (you: cold and peculiar and a liar) but you could be wrong about it. could be wrong about him. he’s probably wrong about you, really . i mean. since you’re unknowable and all. (you aren’t)
