So, we all know that Pluto manifested right after he said he was relieved. And people manifest their spectres by reliving the emotions they felt moments before their deaths. Obviously this isn’t the only sign, but a decent one.

His life wasn’t the best either from what we know. He was constantly having to worry about his father getting drunk and being extremely unpredictable, along with him wanting to escape Blackpool. A lot of his time likely went to helping his father out and trying to provide for the both of them.

Now, talking about the scene right before his spectre was revealed. The collar/belt was wrapped tight around his neck. The way it was shaped can loosely resemble a noose as well. The “SNAP” sound effect could be something as simple as the snap of a belt hitting against itself, or it could be more. It could be the sound of a neck snapping after a successful hanging.
