my mom's watching law and order in the other room and one of the characters referred to LGBTQIA+ as just "LGBT," and another character (an LGBTQIA+ activist, i assumed) corrected him by saying "LGBTQIA." i got really fucking hopeful because she was recognizing these identities, but when someone asked her what the "QIA" meant, she said "Queer, Intersex, Ally." not to be a dramatic bitch or anything, but as an asexual, my heart shattered. this was said by someone who either "supported" or was a part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
i'm going to say this one more time:
THE "A" IS FOR ASEXUAL/AROMANTIC/AGENDER. ALLIES ARE NOT PART OF THE LGBTQIA COMMUNITY. IT IS NOT A SEXUALITY OR GENDER IDENTITY. YOU ARE CISHET. YOU ARE NOT OPPRESSED FOR SUPPORTING US.
I AM SICK OF THESE IDENTITIES GETTING ERASED. IF YOU CLAIM THE A IS FOR "ALLY," GET OFF MY BLOG.
reblog if you support your ace, aro and agender friends
~~~
{disclaimer: i appreciate and love allies and all your support, but you are still not part of the community.}
- adoptive brothers with black cat and golden retriever energy
- some argument over inheriting the family business (throne of Asgard and Callahan auto parts respectively)
- brothers don’t shake hands, brothers gotta hug
- the brothers learn to actually work together/like each other
A Tier-my faves: The Good Place, New Girl, 30 Rock, Scream Queens
B Tier- I was invested and entertained, always happy to watch: Tacoma FD, The Mindy Project, Boy Meets World, The Goldbergs, Fresh off the Boat, Modern Family, Blackish, Superstore
C+: Brooklyn 99 (might be higher if I watched more)
C Tier-good shows to throw on when there’s nothing else to watch but I don’t particularly like it:The Office, Parks and Rec, Miracle Workers, Those Who Can’t Do, Suburbia
C-: Scrubs
D+: Friends (not a D because of the theme song and also its iconicness), My Name is Earl
D Tier- I watched a couple episodes, not a huge fan/didn’t hold my attention: Shrill (this show would be higher in the ranking if I were ranking it as a drama), Good Girls, Angie Tribeca
You know how in American high school movies, the girls always work really hard/aggressively compete to win homecoming/prom queen? (which never happens irl) But just once it would be cool to see a high school movie about a guy who’s obsessed with trying to be homecoming/prom king
When your watching movies alone do you get up and dance to happy end credits music or are you normal?
She's fiery, she's passionate. To him that's hot. She's smart and stimulating She has big bold dreams.
He doesn't mind. He's a benevolent dictator after all. And he needs an impressive left hand at his side.
He's charming and exciting. To her that's hot. He's intelligent and funny He has a remarkable power to understand and sway people.
She doesn't mind. He's only a benevolent dictator after all (how dangerous is that?) She needs a powerful personality to build support for the revolution.
She is idealism. He is reality. Both are brilliant...in opposite realms. After sex, laughter, and stimulating conversation, this looks like balance. Like shared goals.
Until she wants to destroy the world order and he wants to rule it.
As agendas shift they strain each other. He won't back her radical schemes. She won't fall in line with his regime.
They tried to break it off like diplomats, but alas neither of them were. They're a dictator and a revolutionary. Natural enemies, no matter how similar.
There was a spark, there was a flame and they thought they were fighting their battles together. But when it all went up in smoke they look up and saw the bombs they launched at each other.
can someone who knows how to make edits make an agathario edit to Rio by Duran Duran?
if you listen to Unwrittwn by Natasha Bedingfield while thinking about the assignment you haven't started it goes from a serenity song to a stress song.
