Seeing his constantly mud-caked face through the gaps in the decrepit wooden door, the Kabukimono felt something twist in his heart, as if some ancient feeling was being re-awakened. And so, he stayed within that wooden house to care for that sick boy, bringing him melons, fruits, and water to drink, helping him to wipe the filth from his face.

Saioumatsu au Spy/phantom theif au idea:

where kokichi works as a double agent for the government though no one really knows about it other than Kirumi (who is the prime minister) and Rantaro (personal assistant and double agent of Kirumi).

Kokichi Runs by different aliases and stealing that it got the attention of Detective Shuichi. He has basically grown overly interested to the case (especially after the agency just disclose it?? There must be a reason to why? And why him?)

By thorough investigation he finds the usual spot the spy can be seen is different piano recitals where a Pianist by the name of Akamatsu, Kaede always performs on.

He was about to go investigate more about Kaede but It was actually Kaede who barges in his office telling him that she has more clues about the mysterious thief.

Kokichi giving Shuichi writing ideas

i love Kokichi constantly coming up with random creative shit, and i love the idea of Shuichi getting into novel writing, clearly i should mix the two for the worst best possible outcome

Shuichi gets into writing and he's pretty damn good at it, but despite this he feels like his stories aren't intriguing enough, like his world building is kinda missing some sorts of pop that'd really make it unique. what does he do about this? why he seeks guidance from the single most interesting story weaver he knows, his boyfriend

Shuichi was definitely expecting most of what Kokichi suggested to just be unusable jokes, but Kokichi shockingly actually took the request very seriously. he was more than delighted to be asked to help spice Shuichi's story up, and asked him to give him a few days to read what world building he does have and start sorting through some ideas. after a few days he dragged Shuichi over to his house and presented him with his whiteboard of ideas, organized by how far they strayed from the original concept.... and a small but present joke corner tucked in at the bottom- he couldn't help it it's in his nature

Shuichi ended up spending alot more time than he anticipated sorting through Kokichi's ideas with him, and made himself a mental note to start talking about his writing with Kokichi more often
