Even if someone called me the f slur (that means someone gay, as in homosexual) that wouldn’t mean I’m that thing, which still doesn’t give me the right to reclaim that slur.
I’ve seen a lot of non-lesbian sapphics taking advantage of “I’ve been called dyke before so I get to call myself one” as an excuse to reclaim the word and the second they can they call a lesbian a dyke to offend them. So no, you don’t get to reclaim a slur if that slur doesn’t describe you.

That’s not lesbians fault. It’s your responsibility to unpack that mindset and to just accept and recognize lesbian is just a word that describes a sexuality.

Something I think is so important are lesbian friendships.
In a world of people who don’t understand the internal struggles of being a lesbian, it is amazing to have someone who just understands how you feel, to have conversations surrounding your lesbian identities, and to be at ease knowing that there are people out there who are on your side.
Being able to create platonic relationships within your own community is so significant to upholding that community and leading to liberation.
