Normal ways to look at your mortal enemy who you hate so so so so much
"i didn't know i was starving till i tasted you."
low energy ("do not ask me to do any prep work at all, so help me god")
mozzerella cheese wrapped in pepperoni ("pizza tacos"!)
hummus and pretzels or naan (putting the naan in the microwave for like 10 seconds...heavenly)
canned chili (with shredded cheese and sour cream if you have it! boom done!)
instant miso soup (warm and lovely!)
cheese and cured meat, olives, canned fish, crackers, dried fruit, or whatever easy "charcuterie" type items you like
alternate bites of apple and spoonfulls of peanut butter (mixing honey or chocolate chips to the peanut butter is my favorite)
a "deconstructed sandwich": bites of lunch meat, pickles, cheese, cherry tomato, etc (I love roast beef and white cheddar for this)
yogurt and granola or fruit
medium energy ("I'll boil water but don't ask me to chop shit")
boiled eggs and fresh veggies (put a little salt on top of the eggs for pizzaz!)
buttered noodles (take it up to level 10 and add roasted garlic; takes 30 mins in an oven, only one swoop of the knife required)
baked potato with toppings (I like cheese, bacon, broccoli, green onion, and sour cream)
quesadilla (add some canned beans, cilantro, or avocado!)
pot roast (requires a lot of time but not a lot of actual work. I love it with peas!)
cuban sandwich (bread, swiss, pickle, mustard, ham... my favorite thing to panini-ify by far)
pan-fried tofu with scallion sauce (this sauce goes well with everything and tofu is no exception)
pancakes or waffles! (I love mine with jam)
ham, pickle, and cream cheese roll-ups
fried eggs (with toast and lots of butter...so comforting)
fruit smoothie (bananas, frozen strawberries, yogurt...or whatever!)
I hate salad but could write essays on this copycat olive garden salad (throw it in a bowl! chopping required if you use onion)
spaghetti (controversial maybe but angel hair > spaghetti noodles)
pasta salad (olives broccoli fresh mozerella... those little mini pepperonis... yeah)
high energy ("I don't mind chopping some things up!")
stuffed shells with spinach
chicken and roasted garlic (oh my god.....one of my all time favorites)
beef tacos (I like mine with cilantro and onion, and when I'm feeling especially high energy I love a tomatillo salsa)
chicken alfredo
tom kha gai (a thai soup and my absolute favorite! you just need access to galangal)
lasagna! (freezes well and then boom! low energy meal for later)
pad thai! (not as hard as you'd think, as long as you have access to tamarind paste!)
potstickers! (this is a lovely group activity if you want to cook with housemates!)
rice and beans
bang bang shrimp (ogughfhgfuh I love it. you can also do bang bang tofu!)
minestrone soup (so many nice veggies!)
fried rice (put whatever you have on hand in there! broccoli, peas, carrot, and beef is my favorite combo)
broccoli cheddar soup
spring rolls and peanut sauce
skewers (such as beef, onion, zucchini, bell pepper... you don't need a grill, oven works!)
roasted turkey with garlic parmesean asparagus
pork chop with mashed potatoes
other tips:
whenever you think of a meal you'd like to make, take 3 seconds to google search it, take a screenshot of the image results, and put it in a "food ideas" folder. instant visual menu!
if you're on instagram, there are a bajillion different recipe accounts that post videos! a few of my favorites: jipsoon_kitchen, eatwitzo, cordandthekitchen, chungeats, tiffy.cooks, two_plaid_aprons

lesbophobia does not invalidate, negate, or take precedence over biphobia. biphobia does not invalidate, negate or take precedence over lesbophobia. both forms of discrimination coexist and deserve to be discussed and taken seriously. neither is more important or more valid than the other. our experiences being different does not mean that they are contradictory, or that the existence of one means the other is erased. stop positioning us at odds with each other. if we can’t have meaningful conversations about how lesbophobia and biphobia both manifest in different ways and how they affect us, we aren’t going to get anywhere.

sick of environmental and climate-friendly movements/fads throwing disabled and chronically ill people under the bus and even outright blaming us for the state of our world. “using albuterol inhalants is poisoning the atmosphere” “people who use non-reusable dishes and plasticware are responsible for landfills” “don’t use plastic straws or straws in general” “walk places or ride a bike or use the bus instead of driving everywhere” “don’t use same-day delivery from amazon” how about “don’t dump tons of oil in the ocean or burn a hole in the ozone or pollute the air with fossil fuels to make a quick buck”? how about “celebrities stop using private jets to fly to your vacation home every weekend so you don’t have to see the poors in commercial”?
like yeah, okay if you can walk or ride a bike or elect to not use straws, by all means, do that. but stop acting like people who DO need to use straws, or drive everywhere, or use inhalers, or eat with disposable dishes etc are the leading cause of global warming because we’re not. corporations and people with way too much money are. stop judging us for existing our disabled, ill lives because we don’t have the same options you do. it’s exhausting.
this disability pride month, remember our loved ones who are locked up, institutionalized, and incarcerated. Remember our loved ones who are in carceral group homes that wouldn't pass the burrito test. Remember our loved ones who are cut off from disability community and forcibly isolated through the violent ableism of these institutions. Disability solidarity means that we must create these community connections that transgress these barriers and lets our loved ones know that they are valued, important, and that we are fighting for their freedom.
This disability pride month, send a care package to your local psych ward or residential treatment facility.
Find a program to write letters to people incarcerated in your local prisons and jails.
Support patient organizing, prison protests, and advocacy for independent living.
This disability pride month, commit to fighting for abolition of all forms of incarceration, from psych wards to residential treatment to prisons.
once again i am crawling out of my den to tell you all that if someone says “women” on a post, and your thoughts automatically jump to “they must be excluding trans women” you do not think trans women are women.
like just saying, your default of women clearly does not include trans women. otherwise you wouldn’t get so tilted if someone says ‘women’ and not ‘women and trans women’. you are acting like trans women are a subset of actual women and it’s disgusting.
and if you wanna cry terf psy-op or whatever, let me be very frank when i say that you need to grow up. its not people’s responsibility to have a huge disclaimer on every post to pander to your lack of critical thought.
i am of the correct opinion that lesbians should be meaner
non-lesbians going "so what if a cis man called himself a lesbian? who cares, it doesn't affect me at all" yeah no shit it doesn't affect you bc you're NOT A LESBIAN. so shut the fuck up, fall off a cliff, etc.

the 5 love languages are:
- Sharing a blunt
- All forms of cooking
- Being incredibly stupid on purpose
- Collaborative hating
- Ignoring things
Is it important to you to identify with labels that reflect your experience?
Then consider how it is also important to lesbians to be able to have a word that describes our experience- one that is not changed to mean other things or made to include experiences that are directly antithetical to ours.
Lesbian is lesbian. It is not bisexual, it is not pansexual. It is lesbian.
hey now that it’s disability pride month can you please remember to include people with Down syndrome and other chromosomal defects into your activism. they’re so often left behind. I literally never see anyone spreading Down syndrome awareness that isn’t close family of someone with Down syndrome. They exist and they’re living breathing humans who deserve just as much activism as every other disabled person

MORE NAMES TO KNOW
Tina Bell: frontwoman of the band Bam Bam, often called the Godmother of grunge because of its influence. Racism within the scene has led to her influence being pretty extensively erased but her bandmate and lifelong friend Scotty Buttocks has been working hard to counteract that by doing press and preserving their music here. Kurt fucking Cobain was their roadie
Betty Davis: 70s funk rock legend who just recently passed away. Incredibly unique performer that was way ahead of her time. Not to be confused with Bette Davis.
Sistah Grrrl Riots: A black punk collective put together in response to alienation and racism in the 90s punk and riot grrrl scenes. Organized by legends Tamar-Kali Brown, Honeychild Coleman, Maya Glick, and Simi Stone. You can read more about sistah grrrl in this article.
Ronnie Spector: Frontwoman of the Ronettes and rock n roll pioneer. Black girl groups were a huge influence on the sound of Rock n Roll as we know it from The Beatles to Led Zepplin to the Rolling Stones. She recently passed but her autobiography came out last year and it's worth the read.

hi im dj, im a disabled transbi aboriginal australian and i am genuinely losing my goddamn mind.
centrelink is still cutting my payments and im not eligible for student support or any further income supplements and i'm genuinely not making enough at work to get by, i cant pick up more shifts and i can barely manage the job i have let alone get another.
i need help like really badly paying for food, transport (its too cold for me to walk to and from work now especially with my arthritis) and medical expenses (especially therapy as im dealing with trauma from recent family issues and resurfaced memories)
i genuinely appreciate any and all assistance i get. please dont tag this with anything.
Hi, my name is Fern. I live in a state where abortion is illegal this is seriously a last resort for me so please share if you can't donate. my friend suggested twitter and tumblr since he's seen other people raise funds here. Last week I made the difficult decision to leave an abusive relationship. I stayed longer than I should because of finances, but now I'm stuck with an unwanted pregnancy. I'm still in school and financially unable to support a child. I asked my parents for help but they are apposed to abortion and are recommending I carry to term but I'm not ready for that. I'm panicking and scared.
I really need help, mostly for getting to and from the nearest location that I can get a surgical abortion done, as it's already too late for me to try the pill method. I tried to do the pill method last week but I didn't make the appointment. At 10 weeks now I'm forced to have a surgical abortion and the nearest location is 4 and a half hours away.
I need help getting there and back since I don't have a reliable vehicle so I might need to pay a friend to drive me. I also need to pay for some of the cost of the abortion, which is around 700.
I will also be using the donations to get this procedure done, and paying for mscellaneous stuff like the gas money, drinks and food for the drive, an oil change probably, and post surgery healing items such as a heating pad, midol, comfort items, pads.. Thank you for taking the time to read this, this is incredibly urgent so please share if you can't donate.
