Could you imagine as Solas is getting his ass kicked by Lusacan, a second dragon swoops in with a thunderous roar.

His heart stops for a moment because why is there a second dragon. Rook had killed Razikale and the other Blighted dragons. Why is there a second one.

And he sees it, and the terror doesn’t abate. It’s not Mythal.

But then- claws extended, digging into flesh, maw tearing into skin and shredding muscle and sinew.

It’s a flurry of movement and limbs and blood spilling crimson. A clash of claws and fangs and fire.

Fen’Harel is nudged under protective wings as the large vinsomer snarls defiantly at Lusacan.

It glances down at him, eyes ablaze with a familiar flame.

I keep randomly remembering the way Solas says ‘Ar lath ma’—and thinking about what he must have felt in that moment just breaks me.

Is this a permanent condition now?

If Solas is back in the regret prison at end game and Rook isn’t, does that mean he can still access Rook’s dreams? Does he ever stop using the blood magic? He’d be spending ETERNITY there so I’ve got to believe he would cave and enter their dreams on multiple occasions just to interact with someone? Otherwise it’s just him and the Blight stuck in there, right? Is Rook months later suddenly finding themself standing across that ravine from him getting stared down by a lonely old god?

the inquisiton can call her crazy, thedas can call her crazy (and in the same breath Praise Andraste), but Fuck em! what can you possibly do when you fall in love with a god and they love you back. a being with a simple purpose who used to embody pure thought, someone who came from a time where memories could be felt, taught you that imagination can define reality, and if an idea or emotion is strong enough, it can manifest spirits.

no one else understands what it’s like to be given a holy mantle that strips you of individuality and personhood to the point where at times your own friends find it difficult to see you as a person and that pedestal the world placed you on against your will can crumble at any moment (even if you had good intentions).
