sirius who has to LEARN to take care of remus, to not rush off, to not assume he can physically keep up. remus who uses a cane and sirius who at first is kind of embarrassed to be seen with him in public (because of his “never show weakness” upbringing), but who also immediately glares at anyone who looks funny at remus. sirius whose boundless energy both enchants and exhausts remus, who has to learn how to take care of his boyfriend when fatigue catches up with him. sirius who is forced to learn to be comfortable with the quiet (which is actually good for him). sirius who researches remus’ conditions (chronic fatigue, arthritis, problems that the doctors still can’t diagnose) to better learn how to help him. sirius who comes with remus to his appointments, or drops him off with a kiss, depending on how he feels.

remus who can sense sirius’ embarrassment, who snaps at him for it more than once. remus who softens when he finds sirius asleep as his laptop, fifty tabs open to different medical websites and forums. remus who can see how much his boyfriend is unlearning his own prejudice, and working to take care of him. remus who has never been taken care of so fiercely and purposefully, and who loves sirius for it.

Had a dream this morning that Archive of our Own had a Random button which would simply take you to a random fanfic, like Wikipedia has. (AO3 does not appear to really have this, I checked and couldn't find one, but I kinda wish they did.) Someone had started a game where whatever fic you got, that was your new fandom, which is very fun! I would love this meme in real life.

The problem came in where so many people used the button that it broke and just started sending everyone to Stealing Harry, and like...I have fond memories of Stealing Harry but it's not my best work and nobody should be assigned to be a Harry Potter fan in this day and age.

So I decide to go off and find Astolat and demand she fix this but when I finally did (there was a whole quest) she turned to me like the baddie in a horror flick and said, "But that's the most random story there is" in a dark voice and I was terrified and woke up.

In the cold light of day I know there are more random stories by me on the archive, let alone by others, but I'm not going to try to get back there to argue my case. Pretty sure whatever I spoke to was actually the demon specifically assigned to plague fandom and not Astolat at all.

I'd say "get thee behind me, demon" but I know just how many porny fics on AO3 begin with that premise. (I've written some.) Begone foul spirit, and take your Satanic Panic with you!

I waited like a month to read and after finishing i still was not satiated of ur writing and went and read extra credit. N e ways i think ive read like 5 of ur fics now and i genuinely adore your writing so much. I read i put a spell on you the other night and it had me giggling in bed until i finished. So my friend texted me on October 1 and said, “happy Alex season” while another friend sent me their annual text of “it’s decorative gourd season, motherfuckers,” so we could each enjoy our reread of the greatest essay in the history of mankind.

Why? Because spooky season is when I COME THE FUCK ALIVE. It’s all Halloween all the time up in my mind but in October I can really let it out.

That said, this witch’s high holiday is a big deal in my life and I don’t have a single free night between now and Samhain. It’s all parties and shows and fuckery. So the odds of me pulling off a spooky season b-side are probably low. But I won’t rule it out!

"This cannot be messed around with, Pandora, it is not a toy chéri” her mother says in her smooth as silk voice, gently stroking circles into her cheek with her thumb, the long nail at the end of it poking her in the ear every now and then. Pandora's legs are tucked into her chest, covered by her nightgown. Her hair keeps falling in front of her eyes but it isn’t like she can see what is really here right now. Pandora is rocking backwards and forwards, trying not to crumble.

Don’t Panic is a command easier said than done, Pandora can feel the calm touch of her mother, the soothing voice to go along with it. But no matter how much she talks she cannot stop seeing the way in which her mother will die.

OR ; There is a curse running through the Rosier family, having been dormant for decades Pandora finds herself afflicted with the ability to see the death of whoever touches her.

fanfiction is free. I cannot pay the author even if I want to, but I can leave a comment telling them how much I appreciate their work 🫶

idk why comment on fics like so many times i see fics full of comment and not a one reply from the author like at this point is better just to gush about in discord after all nobody is answering the comments

no author is needs to respond to comments when theyre providing you free work. if you want that work to continue, leave comments. if you arent going to leave comments don't be surprised when your favorite creators stop posting.

Nothing hits harder than finding a fic that understands your favorite character better than canon ever did.
