Hating asexual people is the most bizarre fucking thing to do. Like there are so many things you could be hating on and I don't care how long your list of things to hate is, what the fuck is your problem that you decide to be offended by the existence of people whose whole defining thing is that they're not doing anything and have no intention nor desire to be doing it in the future, either.
that march 1st deadline seemed so reasonable
that was then
FEMININOMENON !!!
HEY! HI! things are rough out here right now, and i think in times of unrest like this, when we're not quite sure what the next day will hold or where our place in the wider world is, community is more important than ever. and i think we're all in agreement when i say fandom can be such a lovely resting spot from all of it so, hey. hi. you have a place here!
this fest is dedicated to female and genderqueer stories, art and edits, aiming to represent those who are feeling unsteady right now, and give us all a bit of space to breathe, be seen, and simply Be.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE !!!
Pro tip!! You CAN request that your fics not be re-added to Goodreads! This is a blessing 🩷🩷🙏
Daily reminder to leave comments on fics to make someone's day after so much hard work 🥰
Kudos are great, Reblogs are great but it can feel so quiet without the comments. Even just a few words of encouragement, appreciation and deserved gratitude can go a long way!
If you don't know what to say, you can always:
say how the work made you feel: made you laugh, cry, sad, happy. Point out which parts made you feel what
quote the parts you really enjoyed or stood out to you and say why
say where you were or what you were doing when you read it and how it affected your day (there were so many instances when a great fic completely derailed my plans and I had to sneak out somewhere to scream internally and fangirl lol)
discuss characters, plot and theories, once you get talkative it will start pouring out lol
you can even use a meme!
honestly, at least just say "thank you" and how much you enjoyed it
extremely relevant bonus point: if you like the story so much that you're gushing about it with your friends and recommending it to them, the writer would love to hear all of that gushing even more than anyone 😂
In case you’re like me and forgot all about it, this week is Teacher Appreciation Week! If you have the means to do so, show your favorite teacher some love this week. 💟
{In general, any profession that boasts an ‘appreciation week’ is probably one that is overworked, underpaid and undervalued by society because it’s predominantly performed by women. Speaking as someone who has been a teacher before, they will be sure to receive very little of actual value from the people they work for this week, so any gesture from parents (or students!) will go a long way toward making sure they feel appreciated for the vital work they do.}

the thing is that childhood doesn't just end when you turn 18 or when you turn 21. it's going to end dozens of times over. your childhood pet will die. actors you loved in movies you watched as a kid will die. your grandparents will die, and then your parents will die. it's going to end dozens and dozens of times and all you can do is let it. all you can do is stand in the middle of the grocery store and stare at freezers full of microwave pizza because you've suddenly been seized by the memory of what it felt like to have a pizza party on the last day of school before summer break. which is another ending in and of itself
hi! I don't think these skittles habits mean nd or not normal, but they might qualify as picky eating
generally speaking when it comes to mental and physical health, if you're asked "do you struggle with this" and your answer is "no, Because I Have A System," then your answer is actually yes
btw you will miss this in 5 or 10 years. memory will smooth these circumstances down like a river stone, and you will find yourself longing for a shade of light or a moment of this particular innocence. you don't know about what happens next, and one day that will be the most alluring thing of all. don't leave it all for nostalgia. have a nice night now, whatever night it happens to be.
this!
why are all these people I like so much so far away?!?
the tragedy of tumblr is you will inevitably meet people who you should be having a sleepover with. you should be rolling around on their floor and rummaging through their fridge and watching shitty movies with. you should be shopping with should be going out to a cafe with should be wandering through the aquarium with. people who you should be experiencing quotidian joys with... and you cannot! because they live one million miles away
Me at age 13, exhausted at school after staying up all night to read fanfic: I can’t wait until I’m an adult and I can stay up reading without any consequences!
