You know how canaries were historically brought into coal mines, because if the mine was full of carbon monoxide the canary would die first and the miners would be able to escape before they died too?
I just found the greatest thing.
This is a canary resuscitator.
When the miners notice the canary getting sick with carbon monoxide poisoning, they can close that circular hatch so no more gas gets into the canary cage, and open the valve on that oxygen tank to keep the canary breathing. In other words, they made a spacesuit for birds.
By immediately giving the canary access to clean air, the miners can save it from the poison. The bird lives. To be clear, this is not for economic purposes, this was specifically created because the miners felt bad and wanted to save the bird.
Isnβt that just the perfect demonstration of what humans are like? We started sacrificing small creatures to save ourselves, and then felt bad and spent our valuable resources on saving the critters too. Because yeah the canary was the only way to test for CO, but itβs a living creature too, dammit!

I always love when you are making a continuous story with other people, each person making the story move forward, and then things unintentionally mix perfectly.
For example. I have this character named "Fractured Dalar", who owns the soul of a different character "Eli" (pronounced Ellie). F.dalar (fractured Dalar) is extremely manipulative and is trying to make Eli not trust her friends and close ones.
Eli has a crush on this character named Rache(not mine, let's say they belong to person 1).
Rache in canon, is not ready for a relationship. He needs to figure out his emotions and learn more before he's ready for one. "I'll be ready in a few decades" rache told Eli. And Eli. Was fine with this. She was ok with not being able to date him and is content with it.
However Introduce Nova(character owned by person 2) people out of the canon are saying they ship Nova and rache based on their little cute interactions.
This is where things line up perfectly.
If in canon rache and Nova actually get together, it would break Eli completely and F.dalar would use that to manipulate to crap out of Eli. Because if that happened, from Eli's POV, rache just lied to Eli.
"I'll be ready in a few decades"
*2 months later, starts dating someone he literally just met*
From Eli's POV rache just really doesn't want to be with her and wants to let her down easy with the "few decades".
And mind you, none of this is scripted. This happened naturally. It's perfect

yuni the nudibranch, a character my chat designed and i drew! a free oc for anyone to use! (more below)
i almost forgot to share, but during my vtuber debut stream i did another round of 'chat designs a character and i have to draw them'. at the end, i let everyone decide who the character would go to, and the minnows elected for an open source oc for everyone to share instead of giving it away to just one person! this way, the community can share the character together and use for their own projects.
if you would like to draw yuni or see other art drawn of yuni, it will be shared on toyhouse! however, anyone is free to use the character however they wish, so long as it is not to spread hate or hurtful words.

I just had some...thoughts... about sticking animal heads on human shoulders. Bear with me.
I think the reason some anthros look really strange (Iβm looking at you, Skyrim) is because animal skulls donβt attach to their spines the same way ours do. Our spines and skulls are very vertical, but many animalsβ are closer to horizontal.
Some people solve this by giving the animal skulls a human skull shape on the back. But, to me it makes them look somehow bald(??) and just kinda weird in general. If, instead, you change their necks to curve so that the spine still connects where their four legged counterpartsβ do, they no longer look yucky! (And also donβt need a hair-do!)
This seems especially applicable for animals like big cats, cows, and lizards β animals whose spines attach very horizontally to their heads.
Anyway, enjoy some more art I did while having these very specific thoughts.

One of my first real attempts at a poem outside of school. I'm intrigued to see what people think it is and what the general story of it is.
"You to me.
Was is meant to be.
Gone from me.
For all eternity.
Alone in the dark.
Trapped inside this mental ark.
With no end in sight.
I deserve no delight.
Around me bring nothing but blight.
My wings clipped, I can't take flight.
Never will I rest.
But I tried my best.
You with me.
It was supposed to be
For what I thought would be all eternity"
