A little rant about American Gods.

Anybody else bothered by the fact that we had to wait a whole season to get a little Shadow backstory, meanwhile Laura and Mad Sweeney had full episodes dedicated to them?

And now apparently we’re getting another full episode of Mad Sweeney backstory.

I honestly don’t mind if they’re expanding on side characters, but then where are the episodes about the other gods?

Why are the show focuses so much on these two white characters? I only read parts of the books, but shouldn’t they be side characters and not the focus of the show?

Where is my Anansi centered episode? Or Bilquis? Or Mama-Ji? Or the Jin? We only got little snipetts but not whole episodes about these characters.

Hell, where is my Shadow centered episode where we really get to know his backstory, WITHOUT Laura? And you know what, random scenes in an episode doesn’t count. I want full episodes. If they can dedicate two full episodes to Mad Sweeney and Laura, they can do that with the other gods.

I feel so much disappointment right now. There are so many other characters I want to see more of, but I’m getting tired of the show becoming the Laura Moon/Mad Sweeney show.
