It's been a while since I drew our beloved beautiful Captain💕
Long haired! Levi is all I think about some days *sighs*
Desi Miku! The new trend is so good I had to join it.
(God I suck at backgrounds so don't mind it)
Hey I love your art and I've seen it from the beginning when you were in learning process. It's improved so much. Keep it up. I wanna ask if you could tell from where are you learning it? Because I wanna learn too and YouTube tutorials won't help that much. I've been trying for years. Is there specific page or anything where you learned it from ?
Hi! and thank you anon!💕
I actually learned most of it from YouTube, there are great channels like:
mmmmonexx, Proko, NIRO, kaycem, sinix design, tppo, angel ganev, samdoesart, fungzau, Marc Brunet and Lucas Peinador etc. Give them a try maybe one of these would help and work out for you!
But since you said yt tutorials don't help much, here are some things I do and suggest:
• practicing fundamentals: shading, anatomy, basic structures, light and shadows etc.
• Using references: find any reference on pinterest which you like and study it, references help a lot!
-> map out the proportions of the reference cuz proportions matter a lot! highlight basic shapes and focus on how light and shadows interact in it.
• Watch and study other artist work: some artists post their process on YouTube, both traditional and digital ones, watching them, observing their work and learning what they use and how they draw can help you improve as well. There aren't any specific channels I watch aside from what I mentioned, I simply search art process and learn from them.
• Practice consistently: practice whenever you get time and practice consistently like once or twice a week or as much as you find time to.
-> decide what you'll practice like anatomy, face angles, hands, clothes, background etc and focus on it.
-> apply whatever you have learned in your art
-> have patience cuz it is gonna get better as you practice and as you put efforts in your skills, all your efforts are worth it!
-> there are many of my art pieces I discarded and deleted cuz I didn't like them but they too were a step forward. So don't get demotivated and try again.
And that's most of it, I don't really follow any specific page for art but most of art is really about practicing.
I wish you all the best on your art journey anon and hope this answer was helpful!
Sending love💕
