Another Digimon often seen in Aurora's setting, Seadramon
These large aquatic serpents are another common inhabitants of the Digital World, and can be found in various bodies of water, from rivers and lakes to seas and oceans.
They're excellent swimmers, unsurprisingly, and can dive to impressive depths. A very noticeable feature all Seadramon possess is the metal helmet-like armor on their heads, which is a part of their body, something observed pretty often in many different Digimon species, where various metals and minerals grow naturally on them. The beak and fins of the helmet keep growing with age, and it loses its shine the older the serpent gets.
They also come in a variety of colors, though the most common ones are blues and greens with white undersides, and red tailfins and jaw markings. Purple, grey and white of various hues were observed, along with some minor differences in appearance, which is attributed to different habitats. There have been cases of Seadramon found with bioluminescence, those who seem to prefer living in caves or at greater depths - another trait of Digimon - fast evolving adaptation - compared to any life forms of Earth. They can breathe on land, but they're slow and somewhat clumsy, moving around with the help of their front flippers and powerful tails.
Seadramon, though not all, are known to be more dangerous and territorial than some other Digimon humans encountered, and are somewhat prone to attacking without asking questions first. Any smaller Digimon or animal, including humans, are potentially on the menu, as Seadramon are near-exclusive carnivores, though mostly hunt fish and other aquatic life forms. Digimon can be sought after as a source of pure energy, rather than food. They attack by strangling their opponents and dragging them underwater if they can drown, or breathing out a cone of frost and ice.
Despite this, several non-partnered ones are known to work on Earth, in the organization alongside humans and other Digimon, namely helping with marine biology research, human-Digimon tech development, and issues like climate change and pollution. Later on, as Digimon become more publicly known, they take on the roles of helping in cases of natural disasters, sinking ships, and also patrol of coastal lines in case of aquatic hostile Digimon appearance, as well.

Hello, re: last month's hormonal imbalance, I was initially wrong about what my problem was, one of low estrogen rather than elevated testosterone and consequently I am getting an ultrasound and a follow-up appointment to discuss results/course of action to take. My ultrasound is $125 and the follow up appointment is $212. The latter kind of took me by surprise in terms of necessity but here we are. With meds and groceries I anticipate needing about $650 in financial help this month. I am extremely grateful and appreciative for all the help I receive and have in the past, thank you so much! ❤️

I have a platform here on tumblr with a stable following, and it would be incredible if we could somehow get this page to trend, because rn, They need 50k euro to both leave Gaza and receive treatment in Egypt, and as of January 6, 2024 the donations have only amounted to 400 or so euro.

During the war in Gaza, our family's house was subjected to bombing and destruction, resulting in the tragic loss of my father, brother, and his daughter. Additionally, my sisters, Duaa and Dina, sustained serious injuries. Unfortunately, the necessary medical treatment is not available in Gaza, so we need your assistance to transport them to Cairo for treatment.
The cost of leaving Gaza and securing the required medical treatment is approximately 50,000 euros. We all hope for your response and support to save their lives.

I got a fish book from the library and I just think everyone should know that archerfish aka the guys that spit jets of water at bugs to knock them off plants and eat them aka these guys-
-are a social species (like a lot of fish), and that the jet spitting is actually a learned behavior rather than one they just do instinctually. They have to watch older members of their social groups do it a bunch of times (like up to thousands) before they're able to successfully do it themselves. If you take a young one and isolate it from its species, they just never get good at it (they also catch prey like "normal" fish tho, so an archerfish that can't archer won't starve just bc of that)
When they do learn to do it tho, they can compensate for light refraction, vary how much water they spit based on the size of the insect they're aiming for, and will learn to shoot insects that are midflight by spitting in the bug's flight path rather than where the bug actually is
