The Karuta Cards are finally all done. Congratulations, what fun! For those who haven’t seen all the Karuta Cards, here’s an easy access directory to them. It was my first translation project. A, I, U, E, O

Super Realism

It was an attempt at taking a line art and turning it into a realistic photo. The original is by artgerm and can be found here. It was a lot of hard work, but I hope you like the end result. I chose to remove some of the details to make it easier to do realistically.

Tinkerbell

My first attempt at a realistic painting. The original image was a colouring book page, and I just tried to paint over it. It was a lot of work, but I’m proud of the end result, and I hope you all like it too. 

Today I learn that one of the only “Christmas songs” I actually like is not actually a Christmas song. That... explains a lot.

Only good thing about Christmas time is I get to hear carol of the bells all the time but the bad part is I have to act normal like that song doesn’t go hard as fuck

Colour Theory

I wanted to do some experimenting with colour theory, so I coloured the same picture in several different styles. Each style is listed on the actual art, and uses only the colours listed on the picture in question. The original picture used is from Jadedragonne and can be found here

KARUTA TIME

Hello any and everyone who’s been following my translations of the SInbad no Bouken Karuta cards. At this point, all of the letters have been released. Congratulations! However, I am still misisng the first sets of the cards. These sets include (Listed in both the English set and the actual Kana):

Any one who further wishes to provide the Karuta cards to me so I can go back and translate the original sets, please send me a message with the files. I will only accept image files, so please don’t send zips. If for any reason your message is not going through, please send me an ask with your name and I’ll get back to you. I request good quality images and require both the front and the back of the card in its original Japanese. Also, please include a link to your blog so I can give you the credit you deserve for the cards you provided. Thank you everyone for your support, and anyone who helped me fix translations ^-^. Hello Tumblr. Trying my hand at opening my portfolio for commissions. I will do two types of commissions: Art and Writing

Here’s what we’re offering:

Art Profile pictures- 100*100:     $10 USD Cartoon-style character hand drawn-        $20 USD (Additional 10$ if I’m coming up with the concept) Colouring of a Line art or predrawn image-       $30 USD (Must provide evidence that the line art is yours. Predrawn images must be scanned.) Realistic image Black and white-       $50-100 USD depending on size and complexity

Writing Short story-      10$ USD per 100 words (Specify a maximum range.) Poetry-           10$ USD per poem

Paypal only. 50% of payment required before work begins. Other 50% required before work will be delivered. In case of art, provide reference images. You’ll receive a line draft of the art image before it continues. Work to be delivered to an email via scanned copy in case of art and PDF in case of writing. Do not claim my work as your own, even if you pay for it. I reserve the right to refuse a concept if I feel as though I cannot do it. I will not: Perform a trade. Begin work before receiving payment Accept any beggars asking for free work. Care if your aunt, uncle, son, father, brother mother, etc is dying or has nothing for Christmas. No beggars here please. I really need the money, and I’m not doing it for free.

Finally I’ve gotten a good understanding of how different brushes handle different textures. I am quite proud of this one, I think it looks really good, and looks rather realistic in textures. The original picture can be found here and is done by Elias. If you’d like to buy the artwork, then you can follow the link in their Deviant art and buy it. It’s also sold in pencils and on other media from that same website. Be sure to send your love to the original artist, and ask the artist for more details on how you can purchase the original lines and other media with the image on it.
