Someone Say Chain Ocs?

I end up coming up with a new chain oc pretty much every stream but most recent is Footpad. Koursirian street urchin with an aptitude for magic. Ostensibly joined the chain to get themselves off the streets and earn fortune although if they’re honest, they were just too curious and had too much of wanderlust not to join up with the Helltroopers.

Always liked footpad as slang for a thief and seemed to fit pretty well as a chain name. They’re probably just a rank-and-file soldier but if I were to actually build them mechanically they’d be 3rd level arcane trickster rogue. Idk if the rank and file actually report to specific junior officers but I like the idea that their magic and curiosity makes them get along well with Buts.

BRUCE: I’ve created jobs by keeping Wayne Enterprises in Gotham. I’ve provided scholarships to every employee of my company and I offer them to others as well. BRUCE: It’s going to take time to reform the system and lift this city out of poverty and corruption, so I think I’ll spend my evenings protecting the people who live here. Tonight, I’m going after the criminals preying on the sex workers struggling to make a living in Crime Alley.

BRUCE: And once I’ve kicked some ass, I’ll offer their victims jobs at Wayne Enterprises so they can get off the streets and have stable, safe, legal employment. I’ll pay for any education or training they might need.

While I think they are pursuing a patent, this article indicates they plan to make it “freely available to any artist to use for a noncommercial art project”

Chain OC time

Name: Smoke Race: Human Class: Cleric Height/Weight: 5′5″ish/180 lbs Bio: One of the few clerics for the Greenboots, he marched under Red’s command and now King’s. Wielding a spear and a shield, he’s more used as fighting retreat or to hold a position as other Greenboots rush in to defend him. Nicknamed Smoke due to his first day with the Chain, coming in with a short wooden pipe, and insisting on setting up the camp fire. He was there for most of the Alloy campaign, but joined right before the Chain left for Alloy. Heavy drinker.

is there a list or smthn of what all the signs in church mean?? just curious :- O

there is now!  so Murderer and Executioner are already in there obvs…there were going to be more tattoos for various crimes, but 1. that seemed overly-complex and 2. I didn’t want to dig into a bunch of horrible crimes…why not just stick with murder, I thought.

anyway, the symbol of the church that people have tattooed on their chests would have had an identifying shot where it was labeled “DIVINITY” but I only thought of this later in the animatic and I couldn’t find a good place to add it later.  fortunately, I think it read pretty clearly anyway!

the chest tattoo is somehow the conduit for divine magic (which can hurt or heal), and the wrist tattoos channel it into the hands!  the bar means they can forge a weapon from their power.  (you’ll notice the guy who gives Ash his executioner tattoo at the beginning doesn’t have a bar!  he’s not a warrior monk type)

Consider:

A standard portal fantasy where a person falls through time and ends up in medieval times– but they have brightly colored hair.

They walk into the nearest tavern thinking this must be some novelty tourist trap, and as soon as people take one look at them they’re chased out with whatever cold iron tools the locals have on them, cries of “faerie!” ringing in their ears.
