Well it is Tuesday which means we get an opportunity to take advantage of Discount Tuesdays at AMC theaters. My wife and I are huge mystery fans specifically Agatha Christie books/movies. So tonight we get to see the newest movie- a Haunting in Venice. Plus, anytime we can see Venice even in film it is wonderful, because we desire to go! Happy Tuesday All! God Bless
So it is truly not an official full summer for me until I take in a baseball game. Finally, I was able to come tonight to see the Mets vs. the Diamondbacks. Was hoping that their season would have gone better, but couldn’t ask for a better night. No rain and a nice cool breeze. It is amazing that it costs more to park than it does to see the game. What’s wrong with that picture? But it is a small prize to pay to do what you love.
Well I go from enjoying my love of music , to now my other love-date night with my wife. She is a big fan of the Big Fat Greek Wedding Series, and this one is filmed in Greece, one of the places we want to travel to. So take the time when you can to do the things that you love, when you can. It is these small things that make my life feel so fufilling. God Bless
Well it is another weekend, and another chance to me to enjoy a concert that is free courtesy of WCBS Radio. So it appeared that this summer has been dominated for me with the sounds of 80’s. As you only have these 2 weekends left officially for summer to change over to fall, make the most of your time doing what you love if you can. Ok, I finally make it to Citi Field in the summer of 2023 but not for a Mets game like the norm because they are stinking it up this year, rather courtesy of winning on WBLI, I am taking in Pink’s Summer Carnival concert. Today, doing something completely different then my normal pattern of entertainment, but something I am just as passionate about- history. I have lived on Long Island since 1971, and realize there is so much untapped history that I have yet to visit, learn about and enjoy. So today, I stepped back in time to 1819, the birthplace of Walt Whitman. As another weekend is upon us, I have another opportunity to see and listen to the music I grew up on. Growing up in the 70’s I remember listening 770am WABC with Ron Lundy, Harry Harrison and some of the artists that I will hear tonight. It puts a huge smile when I can to the radio like WCBS or Big Hits 98 and hear these artists and then say I have seen them. What a tremendous blessing. I am blessed to see another week and another baseball game. This time for the team that I love- the Mets. It is my first game here in 2022. You all know my motto is make every day your masterpiece, so as I finished up my matinee of Come From Away, I stayed into the city to now catch Hugh Jackman in @the Music Man. “ This show has extra special fondness for me for 3 reasons- one- huge Hugh Jackman fan, 2-I did this show in high school and 3- then my son Kevin did it as well during his high school.
