Keith’s a good fighter.  Krolia’s trained him into the perfect weapon.  But when a newly turned vampire doesn’t fight back, Keith hesitates, and to hesitate is to be killed.  But the vampire doesn’t hurt him.  The vampire saves his life instead.  And from that moment on, Keith is gone.

Maybe vampires aren’t as bad as he thought.  Maybe Keith’s not who he thought he was.  Maybe Krolia’s been lying to him all along.

After losing the Grandfather who raised him, Shiro throws himself headlong back into life at the Garrison. Desperate to believe that everything is fine, Shiro focuses on his extra studies, on working as Commander Iverson’s TA, on anything but dealing with his grief or giving himself space to mourn. For the most part, his façade fools everybody. Unfortunately for his desire to avoid dealing with his problems, compartmentalizing and denial can only last so long before something has to give.

On the other hand is Keith. A driven cadet who’s earned everything that he has to his name, Keith sees Shiro as little more than a useless pretty boy whose family has a legacy with the Galaxy Garrison. As far as he knows, Shiro’s only gotten so far at the Garrison through a mix of dumb luck and nepotism. Keith’s perfectly content not to question any of his preconceived ideas about the Garrison’s resident golden boy. Unfortunately for his resolve, he keeps catching Shiro in vulnerable moments and spotting details that other people miss.

Shiro is sleeping peacefully in his room at the Garrison when it happens, bundled warmly in dreams as light explodes through the night sky and the ground quakes and quivers.  A mile away, in the darkness of the desert, a boy who’s not all human, but not all Galra either, stumbles from his shuttle, disorientated, looking for his father.  

He’s apprehended immediately and it’s up to Shiro to get him to tell them what he wants.

2. Shiro doesn’t have a soulmate anymore, but he finds the next best thing in a boy in his astrobiology course.

3. Selkies are never safe, not when Hunters are near. Keith breaks Shiro out of the laboratory facility he was taken to, but Keith is captured in the process. Shiro needs to go back for Keith, but he can’t when his ability to take his human form has been stolen away.

4. Keith takes care of Shiro after he escapes from a Fire Nation prison, his arm irreparably burned. Hoping to take down the Fire Lord, they search for a new way for Shiro to bend the elements, confronting Shiro’s fear of fire along the way.

5. A Galra rebel breaks Shiro out of prison, asking for his help in shutting down a weapon that threatens the lives of the entire planet Princess Allura rests on. Shiro’s Altean heritage will allow him to destroy the crystal that powers it, but not without a cost.

we weren’t queerbaited

while it is unfortunate that adam died, i think you guys are taking things sooooo much farther than they really are. adam was literally just a plot device to show that shiro is interested in men. that’s literally all his character was there for. and while the crew shouldn’t have hyped their relationship as much as they did, we were not queerbaited by them. they were broken up and were no longer together!! the only people who queerbaited us are ourselves for making up head canons of shiro and adam still being together once he got back. that isn’t canon, just our own fantasy!! and i’m tired of people saying they killed off the lgbt rep….they didn’t!! shiro is the main lgbt representation and that’s it! he’s the one we are suppose to be focusing on, not his ex who was there for a minute tops to once again show that shiro likes men! he doesn’t have to be in a relationship in order for his gayness to be valid and legitimate. shiro is a strong poc disabled man and is gay, and that’s so so amazing on its own!! stop overlooking everything and being entitled to how the show writes it story. respect and love what we have, takashi shirogane.

Now, having finally the time and money to do it, he goes on a trip to Europe to see some of the most culturally rich cities on the continent. Basically an AU in which Lance and Keith become impromptu travel buddies and get into trouble.

i loved it. i loved the Lance and Allura plot line, i loved the battle scenes, i loved how it ended (even though it completely broke me. i shall never heal ffs). i’m sad that it’s over tbh :(

if an idea for post canon comes up, i will definitely write it! with the new season, i already have a ton of new fics popping into my head that i plan on writing - i’ve just gotta find the time
