I'm not sure if this will come out right but:
Being loved is NOT a reward for being beneficial or useful in any way. You don't become less deserving of being loved if you aren't productive for a day or if you have a bad day and can't get out of bed.
I promise. Being loved has nothing to do with how you "help" the world or those around you.

thinking about "what am i without you?" / "yourself." again but specifically how he says "what am i". like "who am i without you" would have made more sense in that it would mean he didn't know how to define his sense of self without that relationship, but he said "what". as in, "what am i worth without you?" "why do i matter if you're not here?" "how could i go on by myself?" and the response is "yourself", as in, "you don't need to do or be or have anything else to matter, you are worth something all on your own".
