(A/N: THIS IS AN END OF S11 FIC. Technically, the oneshot itself has no spoilers...I think. But just so you understand the context, this takes place the night before the end of the season finale. I apologize in advance for the ensuing tears.)

Dean sat down on his bed, laptop open in front of him, a blank document staring back expectantly. He sipped his beer, and set it on the nightstand, sighing heavily.
She would find it after everything was over. He'd print it up, seal it in an envelope, give it to Cas, ask him to give it to her when he was gone. When they were safe.
"Let's get this over with."
Dear (Y/N),
He deleted it.
(Y/N),
He deleted it.
To my girl.
Here we are again. End of the line. The world's going out tomorrow unless the Winchesters step up, right? Tomorrow night, I'll probably be dead, and in the Void.
How many times have we been here? Too many. This time, though, I'm pretty certain I'm not getting out of it. This time, it really is the end of the line. Everybody off.
So I thought I should leave something behind. Kind of a will, but not really because legally I don't exist anymore. Sort of a...goodbye. You know I'm not good at them. Soppy crap has never been my thing, but this time...I don't know. It just feels right to go out properly.
Sammy gets my Baby. It's always been that way. Don't let him chuck my music, though, doll. Those cassettes are classics and really valuable, trust me.
You and him keep on at the Batcave. Don't move, you won't be safe if you do. You know that, though. Also, don't let them touch my room, okay? No one but you gets in, babe, promise me. Everyone else would touch my stuff and move it and mess it up, and I swear if you guys break anything I'll pull my damn self out of the void to haunt your asses.
Watch out for Sammy for me. Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. And tell him to get a haircut.
Watch out for Cas. Don't let him do anything stupid either. But still mess with him sometimes, too. He's still got a stick up his ass.
Take care of yourself. Move on. Find someone who's actually worth your time now that you're not stuck with me. Just don't be alone, okay? No one should be alone. And don't do anything stupid, either. Don't try to bring me back. I don't want that.
I love you so much, and I don't say it as much as I should. Tell Sam and Cas I love them too, because God knows...well, you know what I mean...I can't say it to their faces. Too much of a chick flick moment. Soppy crap.
But I do love you. All of you. And I hope that I can't miss you in the void, because I know I will if I can. I'll miss you so damn bad. There's no way in hell I can thank any of you enough, or tell you how much you mean to me.
Tell Sammy I'm proud of him, and I'm sorry he never got that normal life he wanted. Tell him he can stop hunting now, if he can find a way out. He deserves that much. Tell him I'm sorry I dragged him back into that crap, and I'm sorry he was born into it all, and I wish more than anything that we'd gotten normal lives dealt to us. But tell him I'm so proud to call him my brother, and I loved every minute we got together.
Tell Cas thank you, for everything he's done, and that I'm so sorry that I brought him down with me. Tell him he's the best friend I ever had, and I didn't deserve anything he did for me. Tell him I'm so damn proud of him, and I hope he can patch things up with Claire, and with at least some of the God squad. Tell him that to me, he's always been a brother. Tell him he's family, and he's earned that place, for what it's worth.
You are so beautiful, and so wonderful, and so strong. I never deserved you, and I don't know why you stayed with me, but I am so damn glad that you did. Thank you for making these last few years so real, and so great, for staying with me through literal hell and high water, for every kiss and every touch and every word you ever said to me. Thank you for being alive and for being mine. Thank you for letting me be yours because you deserved so much better than this washed-up idiotic alcoholic mess.
I love you, (Y/N). My girl. My babe, my doll, my honey, my cherry pie. I love you.
Goodbye.
Dean Winchester.
So um, why when I heard this did I get an idea?
Dark hears something funny, or he sees something silly happen. Maybe Wilford actually makes a good joke for once.
He’s never laughed before, in his home dimension, or whatever, and suddenly finds this thing extremely funny one day, but doesn’t know what’s happening. His body/shell didn’t know how to react, so it recreates Mark’s laugh, and he just can’t stop,he laughs and laughs until his lungs burn and his sides have stitches. But he thinks something’s wrong with him, and it’s the only thing to have actually scared him, ever.
He’s not used to positive emotions at all, other than perhaps pride or satisfaction with a scheme well carried out, and so has never found anything amusing in this way before. Sure, he’s chuckled darkly and been mildly amused by others’ stupidity, but he’s never found anything truly funny before this moment, and he’s never fully, properly, uncontrollably laughed at anything. The feeling is just an antithesis of everything he is, too positive and good and innocent, and he hates it.
best quality: his giggles
quick question why tf did i make this
please give me audio edit requests or something i can’t live like this
(ok one last observation for now then maybe I’m done but-)
When Mark was in the height of his rage, we got this fiery display of sparks and chaos.
Then, in the post credits scene, we see Damien walking out of the cabin.
Looking back at this scene, I loved the detail how the grass (which wasn’t there before, another sign of Spring with the flower? To show Winter’s over and that Damien is no longer trapped?) itself is affected by similar red effects.
Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe it’s emotional insight of what Damien is feeling.

You were asleep. Everyone was, it was 2 am. And you were having a damn good dream, too.
And then they rolled up. Doors slammed, there was a lot of shouting, and you were suddenly wide awake, standing in the middle of the motel room, pointing a sawed-off shotgun loaded with salt at the door.
"Dean we have to talk about this at some point!"
"Not tonight, Sammy! It's 2 am, and I wanna get some shut eye!"
So do I, you thought in annoyance. You froze, poised for action, when you heard the unmistakable sound of a key turning in the lock. Then the door handle twisted, and it opened to reveal two hulking figures, shadowed and possibly malformed. The lights clicked on.
"Who the hell are you and how the hell did you get my key?"
It turned out that neither boy was malformed at all, just covered in about four layers of shirts each for some reason. The shocked looks on their faces made you pause. Had they expected you to sleep through that racket? Both boys' hands shot up, and the taller one dropped the set of keys he'd been holding. The shorter one, stepped forward, blocking what he could of the big one, and smiled in what he must have thought was a charming manner. It might've been, too, at any other time of day.
"Um...hi. Sorry, we must be in the wrong room, so if you don't mind, we'll just-"
"Don't move, Model Boy." He blinked, glanced at the bigger one and mouthing "Model Boy?". He shrugged, and Model Boy looked back at you, not moving. You stepped closer, pulling a flask out of your bag as you went and unscrewing the cap with one hand, using the other to keep the gun pointed. When you got it off, you splashed the contents at them, and when the did nothing but flinch and sputter a little, you relaxed a little more.
"Okay, not demons. Still doesn't explain why a moose and a model are standing on my doorstep."
"Again with the moose thing?" the bigger one complained, and after a jab in the ribs from the model, he sighed and said, "Are you (Y/N) (Y/L/N)?"
"Who's asking?"
"I'm Sam, and this is Dean. Bobby Singer sent us. Said you needed some help with a pack of demons down here?"
At that, you finally smiled, dropping the gun to bounce against your side. "Oh, so you're the Winchesters! Bobby talks about you boys all the time. I didn't know he'd be sending you to help me out." You laughed, gesturing for them to come in. The relief on their faces as they did, sitting at the little table and dropping their bags around them, made you laugh again. You plopped down on the corner of the unoccupied bed after shutting the door and locking it again, dropping the gun back by your bed.
"Tell me something, guys," you said conversationally as Sam set up his laptop and Dean pulled out a rather heavy looking old leather book, "Why are you in my room and not your own?" The boys exchanged a look, then Dean said, "The uh...the manager said that this one was free." You rolled your eyes and muttered, "Damn idiot's never gonna remember I'm here, is he?" All three of you laughed. "We'll get our own in a couple of minutes, once we're set up in here. No point in having two work stations, right?" Sam said, smiling at you goofily.
"No point in having two rooms either, I think." They looked at you curiously. "What? I'm perfectly willing to share a bed if you are."
You could almost hear them yelling "Dibs!" at each other, and you giggled. "Just for sleeping, you overgrown teenagers." The offended looks this earned you had you trying desperately not to fall over laughing. When you'd calmed down enough to speak again, you stood and walked back over to your bed, slipping back under the sheets.
"Fight it out amongst yourselves. As for me, it's too damn early for research, don't ya think? I'm hitting the hay again, as I was doing before I was so rudely interrupted."
The following whispered argument lasted twenty minutes before the lights snapped out again.
Sam won.
Like I’ll take all of that, just less tears pls and thank
Hehehe.
Same.
Okay so I wasn’t super far off with this! That’s nice! I even guessed the encounter with Actor Mark, though I had no idea it was going ot be in that cool of a context. I think instead of it being about the line between life and death, it was more focused on the line between reality and experience, with life and death as an underlying issue. We were lost in a way, but not in the house, not in the literal sense that I expected.
It was amazingly cool to see the spiral into madness from inside Damien’s head. That was something I wasn’t expecting, but I’m so glad about, and that could only have been done with animation. Well done everyone involved!
Okay, so in the last 90 minutes before the video comes out, let’s discuss what we know so far.
DAMIEN is the story of everyone’s favorite unfortunate mayor POST-Who Killed Markiplier. Now this immediately brings up two questions: Are we following Actor Mark in Damien’s body, Damien in the DA’s body as he becomes Dark, or a combination of the two? My guess is that we’re following Damien, but we’ll encounter Mark, and/or we’ll watch Damien spiral out of control obsessed with finding him.
From what we’ve seen so far, Damien is wandering in the woods. Are we just outside of the House? Are we lost? (I say we because there’s got to be some element of the DA in Dark, which might be why he’s so unsettling.) As seen in the little teaser clip here on tumblr, and in the audio from Twitter, Damien is questioning what to do next, who he is now and why he’s still here. The lines between life and death have blurred for him, but not to the extent that they have for Wil. I think this is going to be what causes him to spiral, this need to finish Actor Mark but not knowing if it’s possible because to them, no death is final.
Final thoughts: I’m in love with the fact that this is an animated project. I’m also curious as to whether we’re going to run into Wil. I’m also also enjoying the pre-premiere chat full of memes and singing.
LET’S GOOOOOOO
“May.”
She nearly had a heart attack, squeaking in the most undignified way possible as she spun around, soap suds covered frying pan flinging bubbles onto the black vest of the Asgardian Lord of Chaos.
Loki frowned and swiped the bubbles away. “I suppose I startled you. My apologies.”
“What are you doing here?!”
“I haven’t heard from the boy in a week and three days. This is...unusual. I merely wanted to be sure that the paultry team my brother seems to have stumbled into was not once again down a teammate.”
“Jesus, Loki,” May sighed, finally putting the pan back in the sink and wiping her hands, “you know you can just say you wanted to check up on Pete, right? Like, I’m not gonna judge you for that, by all means, come ask about him if you’re worried.”
“I am not-”
“Whatever dude.” She smirked slightly at the indignant twitch of Loki’s mouth. “Pete’s fine. Finals time in school, he hasn’t really had time to do anything but study and sleep, and you can guess which one he does more than the other.”
Loki nodded slowly. “Well. That is good to know. I shall be on my way then.”
As he lifted his hand, possibly to gesture grandly as he was fond of doing before he left, May took a step forward. “Actually, wait a second?”
He froze, studying her, and she suddenly found the floor very interesting.
“I just wanted...y’know, you two have been hanging out a lot recently...and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried at first, because of course I’m gonna be worried when my nephew’s hanging out with literally the god of mischief, but...” She managed to look up. “I just wanted to say...thanks. Pete, he doesn’t have a lot of people to look up to, but between you and Mr. Stark...Just...Thanks. For everything.”
He was silent for a long moment. Neither of them moved. Then, finally...
“There is no need to thank me. If anything, I...” He paused, and shook his head. “There is no need to thank me.”
And he was gone.
As she turned back to the sink, May thought that her life could never get stranger than when Pete brought new people into it. Especially when those people are weird, practically immortal gods who feel like they have to thank you for keeping them calm but can’t.
She wondered if she ought to invite him for dinner sometime. Did Loki like subs?
Peter Parker: -on meeting Loki, offers his hand- Hi, I’m Peter!
Loki: -shakes his hand- Loki of Asgard.
Peter: Aren’t you like…a bad guy?
Loki: It varies from moment to moment.
Peter: So like…on a scale of one to ten, ten being the worst evil imaginable, like…killing puppies, and one being I’ll spit on your hotdog…where are you right now?
Loki: …maybe a three?
Peter: Cool. Lemme know if it gets above a six.
Loki: -thinking- I like him.
Ah thank you! I couldn’t read it!

"No."
"Sam, I'm not a child. I can do this."
"No. You're not going in there."
"Well, why do you have to do it? What makes you more qualified than me?"
"I'm his brother."
"I'm his girlfriend. Have been for three years."
Sam sighed and looked down at his shuffling feet. The bunker was quiet, and felt almost suffocating today. There was a table covered in empty coffee mugs, and a dungeon that was all too full.
This was the third time you and Sam had had this debate, and you were determined to win, close to tears or not. When he finally looked up and nodded, you blinked.
"You're gonna let me do it?"
He gave a very weary smile. "Like you said, you're not a kid. And...Maybe you would be better."
He was nearly knocked over by the tight hug you gave him, and stroked your hair.
One... Two...
Breathe.
Three.
You slid the door open slowly, the creak and groan of metal filling the silence. Not looking up from the ground, you came into the room.
There was the sound of movement, a moment of surprised hesitation, then...a laugh. And it wasn't his laugh.
"I was wondering when Sammy would let you down here, (Y/N)."
You tried very hard not to wince at your name in that mocking tone, eyes still glued to the ground as you shut the door and went to the small silver table with the roll of syringes.
"Aw, you're gonna drug me up. Baby, that's adorable-"
"Don't call me baby." You could almost feel him smile; it made your skin crawl.
"Why not? You love it when I call you baby."
"I love when Dean calls me baby."
"I am Dean. Just-"
"You say a newer model and I'll punch you in the goddamn face." He chuckled.
You picked up a syringe, and a needle. Put the two together. Started to roll up your sleeve.
"You know you can't fix me, right?"
"Watch me."
"Well," he shuffled again, relaxing into the chair a bit, "you can make me human again, sure. But you can never fix me. I'll always be broken. I was when I met you, I was before I got the Mark, I was when I was human and had it. This is the closest to whole and happy I've ever been."
"Shut up." It was practically a whisper.
But he kept on, and the words hurt worse than the needle in your skin.
"See, now I'm not worried about anything. I don't care if Sammy dies, or Cas. I don't care if you die-"
"Shut. Up."
"-I wouldn't feel a bit of guilt, even with your blood on my hands. Actually, that'd be kinda fun. Chasing you around, hunting you down-"
You pulled the needle out sharply and stalked over to him, jabbing it in mercilessly. He hissed and fought, crying out as you pushed in the plunger and the blood flooded his system again. As you walked back over to the table, he began to scream.
"Why the hell are you even trying?! This won't work! It can't, and I don't want it to! Why does it matter what happens to me?!"
"Because I can't lose you, and I won't, even if I have to go to Hell and back again. Because Dean Winchester, I love you, and I won't stop until you're human or I'm dead."
As you walked out, you kept your eyes fixed on the door, trying desperately to ignore the tears blinding you at least until that door was shut behind you again. To your surprise, he said nothing else, and the only sound from him was heavy, ragged breathing.
You didn't look back as you shut the door, but if you had, you would have seen the demon staring at you, face slack with shock, frozen.
Just for a moment, right before the door closed, he moved forward, and opened his mouth as if to speak.
And there was a flash of green in those black eyes.
I’M SORRY WHAT?! ONE OF MY FAVORITE FAN CREATORS IS WORKING WITH SEAN TO MAKE CHARACTER CONTENT?! HOLY SHIT?!
This is all fascinating, and I am so curious to see what the last “dark” side will be. As Morality’s corruption, it’s got to be a fascinating character. Selfish, uncaring about others’ needs, totally and completely egotistical, would be my guess, and that’s why he’s invisible. Can’t see him, can’t get rid of him, right? In fact, that could be his “name”, Ego. Maybe it’ll be an interesting battle between “is Thomas doing things for others or for himself?”
I also want to see the interaction between the three still-”dark” sides and Virgil, and I want to know more about his time as a dark and what caused him to become a “light”. I suspect it was because they showed him that he wasn’t just fear or panic, he was the preservation instinct. Maybe, also, Virgil doesn’t like the darks because he’s afraid he’ll become one again.
So in Moving On Part 2, there’s a strange, out-of-place picture right after the intro. It lingers for three frames and has nothing to do with what they’re talking about, whereas other pictures stay for one frame and relate to the topic. Here it is:
Speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil. We all know that the dark sides are seen as evil, yes? Well in order of appearance, Deceit covers mouths and Remus has to do with the ear topic. So who will be covering eyes?
I know some of you are thinking “But Remus didn’t cover their ears!” How does he enter? The video goes quiet, and Thomas can’t hear anything but Remus when he speaks to him. Other, less important ear things include: taking off his own ears, and when people are around him, they tend to cover their ears. So essentially, Remus is “hear no evil”. Most of his power comes from listening. He can’t do much physically.
To elaborate on that, Remus is a bit like a siren. During his song he drags them into his pitch-black realm of dark thoughts. Virgil even explicitly tells Thomas to stop him from singing. And how do you resist a siren? By covering your ears. It’s fitting that his logo/animal is a kraken. If you don’t listen to Remus, he’s powerless.
Some people have said that Virgil is “see no evil”. Maybe. Here is why people have thought that. Let’s go chronologically. In Embarrassing Phases he’s able to straight-up disappear before re-entering in a cloud of darkness. Shortly after, he makes the room go black. Now, he’s been revealed to have been with the dark sides in the past, and fear “blinds you”. Also, Virgil tends to cover his eyes a lot, whether it’s with his hoodie, bangs, or even hands. Plus, he wears eyeshadow that affects the other sides when in his room.
However, I don’t think this is the case. So far, all of the sides have continued to follow the rainbow color theme. Not the cartoon doodle rainbow with six colors, I’m talking ROYGBIV. Red (Roman), orange (?), yellow (Deceit), green (Remus), blue (Patton), indigo (Logan), and violet (Virgil).
There’s one missing side. The orange one, who is likely dark. When Thomas learns about Deceit, he asks if there are any more sides. Roman and Virgil both reply to this by confirming there are more, or “the dark sides” as Roman puts it. Note he says sides as in plural. So it’s not just Remus. There’s another one.
To even begin to figure out what this side is, we need to poke at the opposites theory which goes hand-in-hand with the color theory. First, let’s look at the first canonically opposite pair: Roman and Remus. Red and green are across from each other. Looking at Logan’s color, he’s across from yellow, while Patton is across from orange. Virgil does not have a clear opposite. Let me explain how this is perfect.
Most people think that Deceit is Patton’s opposite simply because he impersonated him first and went against him in the court room. But, look closer. Logan loves his facts, but those facts are usually helpful. Deceit absolutely loves facts, information, and philosophy too, but his are usually dark. This is just like how Remus likes dark ideas, while Roman likes brighter ones. Another thing, like Remus and Roman, they dress similarly. The only sides to wear a tie/bow tie, but that’s just a minor detail. Deceit also keeps Logan in the back seat for the courtroom video because he knows he’s his match. What does Remus do with Roman? Keep him in the backseat by knocking him unconscious. Do the dark sides fear their opposites, or are they just doing this to simply have more power? In summary, it’s facts vs. lies which are very opposite indeed.
Before I get to Patton, let’s talk about Virgil. “If there’s opposites, why doesn’t he have a light side?” His whole character arch is about being unique. In the Fitting In video, he doesn’t fit to a specific house. He is an exception to the rule, like most things. Anxiety is hard to understand, so it makes sense that he wasn’t able to be split into a good and a bad part by Thomas’ mind. He got to choose like he chose his color.
Then there’s Patton. Repressive, innocent Patton. Whoever could his dark side be? That’s not too hard to guess with all of this information put together. Remus is Thomas’ view of bad creativity, Deceit is Thomas’ view of bad information, so the final dark side will be orange and Thomas’ view of bad emotions or morals. The “see no evil” of the group. The one who’s likely always been in the background, but never seen. With all the build up, probably the worst one yet. So how will his role come into play?
We all know the question Thomas has been asking for some time now. “Am I a good person?” It never got answered. Even after Remus. The first big video about it was Selfishness vs. Selflessness, which is a confirmed two-parter according to Joan. So why the video(s) between the next part? Well, we haven’t met all the dark sides, now have we? In order to answer this question, Thomas needs to see every part of him, good and bad. So I bet you anything, that second part will be light vs. dark to answer the big question. The internal struggle most people have of finding your true self.
