it's very disheartening to see that Palestine or Gaza is no longer the highest trending tag on Tumblr so early on in Global Strike week, especially considering how many people have said they still need to work and buy food (100% valid, by the way). don't lose momentum. keep talking about what's happening. keep reblogging and sharing useful resources and information. we need the Palestinian people to know that we see what's happening to them, we care about what's happening to them and we stand with them. Percy Jackson and Tumblr Live are no where near as important as the genocide of Palestinian people.
language is really telling. palestinians die vaguely, but israeliβs are specifically killed. palestinian little girls are called young women, but israeli little girls get to be called the children that they are. pay attention to the words being used. you might not even notice itβs propaganda youβre reading.
The kids are all right
Yesterday, my community service club was doing outside litter pickup, when I overheard one of my students talking about Israel killing kids.
βYeah, Israel is killing Palestinian kids. Israel is killing children like us.β
βWhat!?β
*pulls out phone to show a video of babies in distress after the Israeli air strikes.β
βHuhh! Omg look at her!β

I keep thinking what he meant by βus.β Children their age, racially minoritized people, or was it something else?

The images that Israel claims are of fighters arrested and stripped in Gaza include a journalist and his family, two teenage boys, one United Nations employee, and the director of an UNRWA school.
Of course "God's chosen people" think they own God's rain. Why should anyone be surprised at this LAW in isnotreal. Yes, you read that right. It is law.
sometimes i feel like iβm working so so hard for someone elseβs sake. i feel like all this effort i put in isnβt to better myself, but to ensure someone else doesnβt pick out all my weaknesses. itβs hard to try and get better when thereβs always a threat of someone peering over your shoulder or suddenly appearing and listing everything you could/should be doing and making you feel guilty about what others are doing and what youβre not doing. i call it fear-working. trying to be the best you can be so that youβre not gonna be chastised for your mistakes.
