Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.
You don’t have to hit rock bottom to deserve help.
You don’t have to reach a certain threshold of suffering to deserve help.
You don’t have to have it worse than anyone else before you deserve help.
You don’t deserve help less than anyone else.
Someone who’s fallen into 10 foot deep water needs a life preserver just as much as someone in 100 foot deep water. You don’t have to wait for it to get worse before you’re entitled to reach out, or seek treatment, or talk about it.

2.06.2018: I think this is my first original post in months - quite much has happened during these weeks, not necessarily good things, as I had the flu and some other health complications for more than a month with longer lasting health issues and consequences in other parts of my life - including academics. Currently I’m luckily feeling better again in general and trying to somehow survive the last hell weeks of my second year until summer break. This week I already had a presentation, a statistics report submission and a deadline for a first draft of a research study, with another deadline until tomorrow. Next week sadly doesn’t look any better with essays and still some exams to go, but I somehow have to get through it, as I can’t allow myself to fuck up my health and uni stuff even more - the past months were totally enough for the next years. Hope you all have a good weekend, xx Amber
True👌
So z-library is down, which is an absolute tragedy, but for those looking here's a list of alternatives under the cut.
Open Library: this works like an actual library, where there's a waiting list and you can borrow books for x time.
Library Genesis: my personal favourite of the ones in this list, both for entertainment or academic books. Here you can download epubs or other formats, and there's a great ISBN search function.
The Pirate Bay: it doesn't have that many book options, and it has pop up ads, but still a good option.
Sci-Hub: this is for research papers, but you have to type the exact title of what you're looking for.
IT eBooks: books on IT and programming.
Ubooquity: has to be installed to use.
Simon & Schuster: I haven't actually tried this one, but it has a mailing list which you have to sign up to in order to get the books.
eBooks 3000: this doesn't have that many options and there are some pop up ads.
PDF Drive: there's no limits or ads, but it only has PDF formats.
Read Any Book: here you can read books online or download them.
The Eye: sort of an archive with pretty much everything, but you can't search things here, and it's tough to navigate. I think they have audiobooks too.
Audiobook Bay: here you can download audiobooks.
Booksonic: this is for audiobook streaming, and you have to download the app or install the software on your computer.
Tokybook: this one has many options, and it's easy to navigate.
I know none of these are as good as z-library was, but hopefully they'll do the trick. This could really help people, so pass it on and add if you have more!
slowly falling into a productive routine and making lots of progress in contracts. i try to get even the smallest amount of work done each day, even when i feel demotivated or sad. sometimes the process isnt always pretty, aesthetic, or particularly inspired, and often it feels futile. cups of coffee and slices of apple cake i baked help. the thought that small progress is still progress helps. i know im doing much better than i did when i first started law school, and thats what matters.
Hello! Sorry for bothering you. I've recently created a discord for people that are learning Japanese but unfortunately my studyblr is quite new and I don't have a large following. So i've been asking around if japanese langblrs could reblog it so that more people can see it, and that's why i'm here! You can absolutely say no if you don't want to, but i thought it would be worth to ask!!! Let me know, even privately!! Thank you 💖
oh absolutely, i would love to!! i’m sure it would be useful for a lot of my followers. could you please send me the link? 💛
