thinking about the narrator again
like he feeds of praise and being criticized is like twisting a knife in his gut, but he also doesn’t care about how other actually feel about his game, as long as they talk about how amazing he is
and the skip button fucking destroys him because of this, breaks him down to a point where interaction alone is more rewarding that praise normally. worst of all is that he back himself into a corner, a cold, empty corner, all because he wanted to be adored by the masses
and i think cookie9 saying “they should add a skip button” is what made the narrator do this. with the other reviews, they give no “this would make it better”, only criticism. but with cookie9, the narrator knows exactly what they want, he knows what would make them like him.
with all the other reviews, he defends himself, he doesn’t want to put in the work of think what would make them like me? but cookie9 gives that to him directly, makes it easy
he doesnt actually want to change his game to make is appetizing to everyone, he just want everyone to like it. and a skip button wouldn’t change much, would it?
assign a key to it, that’s small and unobtrusive! his game is still the same and cookie9 will surely edit their review saying how much they adore the new change!
and that totally happens idk what y’all are talking about

I'M GOING TO CRY THEY HAVE WEDDING RINGS NOW
I just found out Sad-ist and Jay got outed as disgusting people and I'm actually fucking pissed. For one, the entire reason i got into the TSP fandom last year was because of the Clock 0ut AU, and secondly, I ADORED Sad-ist and Jay so much. I actually looked up to them in the TSP community. I remember when me and my friends would watch the clock 0ut animations during lunch last year or, when we would voice over the videos for jokes, and when I would fixate over Jay's and Sad's TSP art.
It's really not that hard to NOT bring up disgusting or inappropriate topics to literal MINORS aka, UNDERAGE PEOPLE. It truly breaks my heart as a TSP enjoyer, Clock 0ut fan, and overall, an enjoyer of both of their art that they both turned out to be bad people. Especially due to Sad-ist's influence on the fandom.
I'm heavily both disappointed and upset by this. I will no longer be following Sad-ist and Jay. Nor will I be in the Clock 0ut fandom anymore. My heart goes out to the victims, truly.
i would highly recommend reading the doc if you get a chance.

I like to imagine serizawa is still a socially inept weirdo for like a good year working into S&S….
You know, at first I wasn't sold on the whole poker thing, but thinking about it, it really makes sense that that game would be what Phoenix ends up spending so much of his time on.
Phoenix's whole life can honestly be described by 'being dealt bad cards all night but still managing to win'. Time and time and time again he has had setback after setback happen to him and he has had to manage to come out on top of it somehow. He even mentions that it's not unlike being in court, that it's all about reading people.
I think Phoenix started playing poker after his disbarment not just because he's good at it, but because it comforted him, in a way. I think part of it is the sense of agency it gave him, especially in a situation where he didn't have much, but also...
He says it himself, it reminded him of court.
Playing poker might've been his only other way to retain the feelings he felt when he was still cross-examining witnesses. It was his best bet of keeping that same fire burning, all those years, even if not as brightly. It wasn't the same, but I think it shows how much his job meant to him, to the point that it's very hard to seperate from who he is.
You can take the man from the courtroom, but you can't take the courtroom from the man, and all that
