Vortex, Ancient of Storms and Natural Disasters

So, I’ve previously shared some of my Danny Phantom first-interpretations/re-designs. But at the time I hadn’t drawn one for Vortex—now, when I first heard of vortex I had pictured a tornado with a charred silhouette of a man, hovering high up in the middle of it. In my mind, the tornado was his outer shell/body while the figure floating in the center was his core. I like designs where the ancients stand out from the other ghosts, so with Vortex (and also Undergrowth) I’ve gone much more conceptual with their designs. Nocturne probably has the design that’s closest to canon but that may be because I was exposed to some Nocturne fanart at the time.

Some genuinely good kdramas this year. I have so many left to watch but amongst the ones I did finish here's a review no one asked for.

MARRY MY HUSBAND.....great acting good pacing the thriller aspect done right and a cute ending

DOCTOR SLUMP.......love love lived it. It was funny and heartwarming and the thriller part didn't annoy me. Cutest grownups. A warm cozy drama for your lonely days.

LOVELY RUNNER.....10/10. They really ate with the storyline and the actors and everything. Had me waiting for the episodes and in a hangover for a month.

QUEEN OF TEARS......had me frustrated as hell. But I did enjoy it till the end. A rare drama where the ending is really far better than the whole of the drama. The actors saved this wreck of a story honestly.

THE JUDGE FROM HELL.....10/10. Loved everything. Psh as the demon judge perfect. Kjy as Han Da On perfect. Them serving enemies to lovers perfect. Her killing those ruthless criminals perfect. Would love a sequel and spinoffs whenever they decide to do it.

BREWING LOVE.....cute cute cute. Shipped the mls so hard actually. The cutest one of this year for me.

KNIGHT FLOWER.....discovered ljw here actually. And a genuinely underrated drama. It's funny actually is deep and has a satisfying narrative. Would love a sequel here too.

MR. PLANKTON.......you will laugh so hard and then you'll cry so hard. A lovely drama but I ain't watching it again.

Romance in the house.....have a couple episodes left but this is a good one too. Middle aged romance plus young love. Fun stuff overall.

Atypical Family....super interesting and dope actors. Leaves you sorta hanging but hopeful.

Miss Night and Day......Really really loved the three main leads. And it had a fascinating premise. Fun one.

And WHEN THE PHONE RINGS....Topping the drama lists this late comer. But we'll be ending this in the next year. So more about this next year.

Being good to each other is so important, guys.

y’all know that fresh prince of bel air episode where everyone but Will gets on the Oprah show so Will just keeps asking passive aggressive questions about nephew abandonment from the crowd? that’s how i want Jason to let the family know he’s alive.

like, he’s wanted to get onto that show for YEARS. he’s TOLD Bruce about how much he loves the Oprah show. and Bruce is like ‘oh i know her, maybe one day we can go :)’ but then he fucking DIES and gets sidelined with all the LOA Joker Red Hood crime lord fuckery he has going on and the family no longer even knows he’s alive. so fast forward he finds out that the entire Wayne family is going to be appearing on the Oprah winfrey show to commemorate the death of their darling lost son and brother. WITHOUT HIM. and Jason Todd, legally dead Jason Todd, is keeping his identity a secret for a REASON Jason Todd, is fucking PISSED.

The family: *smiles slowly drop into a look of horror as a clearly recognisable Jason Todd leans into the microphone*

Jason, arms folded: yeah, i got a question for Bruce. hypothetically, if you had a real kind, happy son whom you claimed to love with your whole heart, and you KNEW he wanted to be on the Oprah show, would you let him go? or would you wait until he was declared legally dead so you could go without him?
