Chivalry is not dead
“ I know what you’re thinking. “Oh, no. Thor’s in a cage. How did this happen?” Well, sometimes you have to get captured just to get a straight answer out of something. It’s a long story. Basically, I’m a bit of a hero. See, I’ve spent some time on Earth… for the record, I saved the planet a couple of times. Then I went searching through the cosmos for a couple of magic colorful Infinity Stone things… but didn’t find any. That’s when I came across a path of death, and destruction. Which led me all the way here to this cage… where I met you! ” - Thor Ragnarok (2017) Dir. Taika Waititi

The best meal I ever had was a five dollar pizza thrown up a fire escape.
The Grim Reaper is no longer able to claim lives directly. Instead, when your time is up a mark appears on your body and it is the duty of every other person to kill you on sight.
“It’s weird how you can be so happy to graduate, to move on, to be free from it all yet that the moment you visit old teachers or listen to songs you grew up with, the butterflies stop and sink.”

Types of people
Canvas - always sick, carries around a lot of stuff, jazz music in the background, curly hair, earth tones, statues, eye bags, running to class because you woke up late, rarely shaving, wanting a pet, bar stools instead of chairs, smiling at strangers
Seed - long fingernails, v neck shirts, wearing multiple necklaces, speaking to yourself in different languages, forgetting your lunch at home, decorated sneakers, arguing with siblings, getting scared by the microwave noise, reading without music playing
Pulp - purple pens, singing the wrong lyrics, broken zippers, reckless decisions at 3am, waking up at dawn and playing on your phone, hoodies over jackets, learning a new instrument, headaches in the evening, taking pictures of fireworks that you’ll never look at again
Font - writing long ranty letters, sleeping in public spaces, messy eyeglass lenses, light blue sweatshirts, poor posture, taking off uncomfy shoes after a long day, talking to yourself in the shower, dnd sessions, jingling bells on keychains, the smell of sunscreen
Lantern - hesitant arm touches, sleeping with multiple blankets, awkward conversations with strangers, faking confidence, ice cream during the winter, brightly coloured rain boots, cracked seashells, saving ticket stubs, random freckles, forgetting to drink water, enamel pins
Bristle - short eyelashes, delaying responsibilities, peach tea, humming while you walk, hair covering face, drawing on school desks, stickers everywhere, black headphones, streetlights on the walk home, lying in the grass, jackets in the summertime
Lemon - playing your music out loud in public, wrinkled dress clothes, speaking up, warm summer nights, never wearing makeup, slow runner, heather grey t-shirts, dozens of open tabs, a friend’s selfie as your background, making too much coffee
rose: aesthetic notebooks, sad movies, writing a diary, written work, looking up ten or so new fonts every day, soft giggles, can be distracted easily, sweet, always helping other students
sunflower: extremely competitive, studies wherever, high motivation but sometimes no talent, does the talking in group presentations, asks the questions others are afraid to ask, going on walks to clear your mind
lily: reading the course material over and over until you get it, fairy lights, can be innocent, cries over bad grades, disorganized, wants to bujo but doesn’t know how, dancer, probably scared to ask for help
orchid: self-starter, cinephile, can do anything they set their mind to, vintage supplies, always returns what they borrowed, best friends with the librarian, soft voice, ink pens
daisy: natural, wants to change the world someday, vegetarian, activist, can change your mind in two seconds, genuine laughter, not wanting anybody to feel left out, reading extra books because you’re not feeling challenged enough, getting lost in crowds, europe travels
cherry blossom: doodles in the margin, always tries their best, needs a lot of validation sometimes, shy, borrowing your friend’s notes and their sweaters, chapstick, bringing hot chocolate to study groups, mom friends, super organized, smol bean
So I’ll be graduating high school in less than two months.
I can honestly say that I hated a lot of my high school career. I really can’t wait to graduate. But I know that when I walk across that stage to get my diploma the following thoughts will run through my head.
“Oh yeah, bout to get my ‘ploma.”
