Stan and you met at a bar once

You entered the place with a couple of college friends alongside you

And he knew you were going to be his the moment he first laid his eyes on you, over his whiskey glass, while his friend Eddie talked about issues involving the company they worked for

You were the quieter among the other girls ordering beers by the counter

And you ordered a dry martini, what made him smirk from distance

He didn’t hesitate approaching you the moment your friends left for the bathroom

And you let him buy you a drink because he had the smoothest voice you’ve ever heard

And the rest is history

It all ended up with an “informal relationship” between the two of you

He didn’t sound angry, but you couldn’t judge how he looked like because you couldn’t see his face

He remained silent for a while and you froze in time

That was absolutely not meant to be

He was just crazy about filling you up with a part of him

“I swear I took all the pills right, Stan, I don-“

But you were cut off by his lips on yours

It was a passionate kiss that sent goosebumps up your spine and warmed you from the inside

Cause you knew he was an amazing man, but this was not in the game

And you really feared he would leave you or something

But he didn’t

He took you in his arms and kissed you for a long moment

And when he pulled away, his hands on your cheeks, he looked down at you in awe

With a big smile on his face

“Say it again, babylove. For God’s sake, say it again.”

You chuckled and did, relieved tears sparkling in your eyes when he hugged you tightly against his chest

And you kept smiling alone as you set the small table for two while he took a shower

And the two of you kept smiling through the Wendy’s dinner, talking about setting up the doctors appointments and all the stuff that needed to be rearranged

And later you were laying down on the couch, between his legs, back against his chest

His fingers running through your hair and massaging your scalp

“Maybe now you’ll move in with me?” he asked

Your eyelids felt heavy after the adrenaline peak from earlier, but you smirked

He already asked you for that, a couple times and more implicit ways, but you always denied, deeply afraid of changes

But now it was there, inside you, tinier than a bean

“Yeah, maybe I will”

And you knew he smiled, chin resting on the top of your head

Stan’s other hand left its spot on your thigh and rested on your lower belly

And you couldn’t help to let yours rest on his, distractedly, while you two watched the comedy show of one of his friends

“Oh, God, eleven out of ten words he says are ‘fuck’”

“Yeah, Richie is never meeting our baby girl.”

“It’s a girl, then?” Your grinned

“Of course it’s a girl.”

A legacy of entitlement under the most criminal of circumstances, and White Supremacist beliefs which pervade U.S. Society and Culture, to this very day.
