Styling Percy

I’m all in for skater!percy lol. 

For him it’s baggy jeans and hoodies all day, every day. He doesn’t think too much about his over-all style, but naturally leans to more subdued colours like grey, black and blue. He grew up poverty-stricken, so he takes care of all his clothes and wears them until they thread up and the soles fall off. Also, brand names, like North Face, Carhartt and so on, are valuable to him.

In winter you won’t find him without his comically large puffer. Under it are often wool pullovers instead of the characteristic hoodies, because Sally thinks he looks cute in knit.

Summer and the heat are his death; Just like Annabeth he likes to opt for jorts, but sticks to his tees, however in the New York heat he sometimes simply wishes he could just strip off his skin. He’s got an uncanny collection of band tees that he likes to show off. Every blue moon you’ll catch him in an overall, but in a “cool, edgy and totally not cute” way (it’s actually fairly cute).

His shoes are nothing but sneakers in different variations in tedious colours like white and black. Only exception are his blue converse he got to impress Annabeth (and thank the gods she noticed and made a joke about them matching). Still, his sneakers are holy and anyone who dares to taint them will suffer!!1!1

He doesn’t own a lot of suits, but I imagine the few to be a little playful, cause he’d feel too stiff in a standard black tuxedo. Velvet jacket, oversized fit or not wearing a shirt underneath would be options to loosen up the formalness; obviously besides his signature colours blue and sea green

As for accessories, he’s not a huge fan of bags and only has one backpack, so he likes to carry his necessities (car and house keys, earphones) on a carabiner. Due to the dislikes of bags, he also has mostly biiiig pocketed pants. I think his chb necklace would be similar in style to that of damon albarn, he’d totally emulate his favourite musicians regarding stuff like that. OH ALSO!! He has an ear piercing. No discussion. A piratey lobe piercing. Period.

I happened across this and found it helpful so I figured I’d share! Granted, it is from the ‘90s so I’ve got no clue how much of it has been retconned away.

I did not pay attention to 5th period today

The Midtown High school paper club, Oliver's high school friend group!

Gwen Stacy is club president/editor-in-chief. She's the only reason their paper ever makes it to print.

Oliver Octavius covers technology, local government, and current events. It's an excuse to stay informed (and do some snooping).

Peter Parker does photography (the school paper gets the shots the Bugle rejects) and sportswriting (he drew the short straw).

Harry Osborn covers arts/entertainment, but claims he's just there for the snacks (even though he's the one who brings the snacks.)

MJ Watson is their only consistent reader, and her long, opinionated reader letters fill so much space she might as well be a contributor.

Flash Thompson goes to the same school, but isn't part of the friend group until college.

people talk a lot about how terrifying it must be to see those two bat eyes come out of the darkness, or to hear the swish of a cape and suddenly you’re being completely overpowered. bc that’s the bat’s whole schtick: striking fear into the hearts of criminals by being the darkness come to life. but imagine what it must be like, in the middle of the night, to be surrounded by darkness. then, out of nowhere you hear a chuckle, light and amused and promising something dangerous. you whip around, trying to pinpoint where it came from, but the voice is thrown, so it sounds like it’s ringing from everywhere around you. you see a flash out of the corner of your eye, and out of the darkest corner of the room, you see two bold blue stripes, and a bright blue mask. twin escrima sticks twirl, the light of the crackling electricity setting the coloured part of the costume alight. then, as he steps out into the light, all you see are flashes of that deep electric blue and the white glint of a smirk, before you’re suddenly taken down by an absolute hurricane of whirling flips, of black and blue and black and blue and the colour, twisting into a vivid work of art against pitch black.

anyway dc that’s my pitch on why you should bring nightwing’s fingerstripes back-

Canon things that we should not let fall into obscurity:

• Dick was an excellent basketball player and played on the school team

• Dick plays both the guitar AND the accordion

• Jason had a pet dog when he was itty bitty. The dog's name was Sparky

• Tim is a skater. He skateboards and is pretty damn good at it, both as Tim and Robin

• Tim and Bruce both like The Clash. Alfred is Britishly Offended by their music

•Jason loved books as a kid. To support this, Bruce had a mini library built right in his bedroom

•Alfred and Bruce collected first edition books ever since Bruce was a little kid. It's implied this tradition was also carried on with Bruce and Jason

•Damian steals items from his brothers. He's stolen a helmet from Jason, escrima sticks from Dick, possibly one of Tim's bo staffs and I'm 75% sure he's stolen one of his father's cowls

•Barry Allen's real name for a time was Barrence Allen.

•Tim was a boarding school kid. He spent the first half of his life in boarding schools and didn't go to a semi normal school until he moved in with Bruce and went to Gotham Academy.

•Tim did not drop out of high school, he was kicked out because his father did not pay the Brentwood boarding school tuition (because posh boarding schools don't let you attend if you have no means of paying or aren't there on scholarship). It's unclear if Tim ever finished high school or if he just got a GED.

•Correction!: After Brentwood, Tim did go back to a local high school. Unfortunately, he had to drop out again after Bruce died and Tim went on his infamous search. (Thanks everyone who pointed this out!)

•Cass is teaching herself how to read and gets very frustrated with it, but is stubbornly pushing through. We're very proud of her

•Duke has a Nest. He has his very own base of operations and it is stellar

•Steph's father was friends with Edward Nigma. The Riddler spent some time living in Steph's house with their family. They probably had to share a bathroom. (Imagine that chaos)

•Baby Steph dressed up in a cape and Super shirt and pretended to be Superman

•There are four members of the Dead Robin club: Jason, Damian, Steph, and Dick. He was once dead for about five minutes, killed by Lex Luthor before being rescusitated. Likewise, Steph's heart stopped before Leslie was able to revive her before squirrelling her away to Africa. Cass's nomination is up in the air as she has died but was not a Robin.

•Only Tim is member of the Thought Dead But Not Really Robin club

•Dick and Steph are members of both clubs and are considering getting punch cards.

•Duke is the lucky bastard to be part of neither club. He lives in terror of the day he gets a membership

•Damian tried to kill Victor Zsasz. He really thought he succeeded. But Victor survived and no one's really sure how, and the fact that Damian did his best to kill him is never mentioned again

•Steph can speak Swahili

•Roy Harper's original vice was heroin addiction due to being undercover. In New52 it was retconned into an alcohol addiction.

•Talia. Is. A. Good. Person. And. Morrison. Fucked. Her. Over.

•For a time, it was believed that Lady Shiva was Jason's birth mother

•It is unclear if Two Face has been disbarred from practicing law or not

getting his GED for an unknown major in the mcu but probably engineering of some kind

BUT DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK MECHANICAL ENGINEERING WITH AN UNDERGRAD IM JOURNALISM WOULD BE MUCH MUCH BETTER ??? PLEASE TELL ME IM NOT THE ONLY ONE OR YOUR OWN PERSONAL OPINIONS
