I cannot fucking believe how much I'm losing my mind right now over soy sauce history. I'll tell all of you about it after I finish this essay because I need to un-distract myself enough to finish it but what the fuck? What the fuck is going on? I'm losing my fucking mind.

So valid

What people think why i became a bookbinder: Oh she wants to explore her artistic horizon with those pretty leather bound books of hers. She even gives them out as gifts to her friends. It most likely helps her with anxiety or maybe she just wanted a more special costume made notebook.

Why I actually became a bookbinder: I just illegally downloaded and printed out several of my favourite fanfics and books and started binding them into books cuz I love reading them but looking at screens for too long gives me headaches.

[id: Screenshots Of Tiktok Captions. The Images Say, “but The Only Reason We Still Love Princess Diana

[id: screenshots of tiktok captions. the images say, “but the only reason we still love princess diana is because she did not have the time to disappoint us.”]

begging queer kids to read up on princess diana’s involvement with the community. yes, she was a rich, pretty monarch. yes, she died young.

but the reason why queer people love her is because she used her privilege during the aids crisis to advocate for sick queer men, when very few others would - much less someone of her status.

diana spent years advocating for the health and care of queer people with hiv/aids. in 1987, at the height of the epidemic, she opened the first specialist clinic dedicated to treating aids patients (the first clinic of it’s kind in the uk).

she also fought public hysteria by hugging and shaking bare hands with aids patients, at a time when aids was thought to be spread by skin to skin contact. not only that, she visited patients in the clinic regularly and even comforted them through their sickness.

and when queen elizabeth told her to try focusing on “something more pleasant”?

diana ignored her and kept fighting.

and this is only her work towards the aids crisis. she publicly called out the royal family, brought attention to numerous world issues, and was known as an advocate for empathy and kindness. she’s known and loved as the people’s princess for good reason

SPOILER WARNING

So you're telling me, they just left his body there? In the upside down forever? That no one cared or mourned but Dustin? That they let him be called a murderer and cult leader with no one fighting back against those allegations? That max can survive several broken bones and a whole standoff with vecna but Eddie dies in vain to fulfill some heroic redemption arc that wasn't necessary? He deserved better than that. Fuck you stranger Things and the way you introduce characters just to kill them off.

Animal of the Day!

Lowland Anoa (Bubalus depressicornis)

Animal Of The Day!

(Photo from Flickr)

Conservation Status- Endangered

Habitat- Indonesia

Size (Weight/Length)- 150 kg; 173 cm

Diet- Grasses; Aquatic plants; Fruit; Leaves; Ferns

Cool Facts- The lowland anoa is a type of water buffalo native to Indonesia. They are a relatively small species and tend to be solitary. For a while, it was unknown if the mountain anoa and the lowland anoa were the same species, but recent DNA testing have revealed that they are separate species despite their ability to interbreed. Lowland anoa have been endangered since the 1960s with less than 5000 individuals in the wild. Hunting for their hides and horns is common and habitat loss is destroying the forests they call home. Several zoos are working to increase the genetic diversity of lowland anoa through breeding programs.

Rating- 11/10 (A small, shy guy just wants to be left alone.)
