things that actually do improve your mental health that of course won’t cure you and solve all your problems, but will significantly improve your quality of life:
• drinking enough water
• eating healthier
• getting enough exercise (even just doing a bit of yoga/stretching everyday or going for a walk)
• adopting a more positive mindset (not pretending everything’s fine, just not being overly negative and trying to see the brighter side of things and have hope for the future)
• taking a shower everyday and washing your hair enough, taking care of your skin, doing nice things for yourself every now and then (it doesn’t have to be costly, it could just be something small), and other forms of self care
• meditation (its actually proven to improve your mental health significantly and really helps with things like stress and anxiety)
• being more mindful about the media you consume and how its affecting you (e.g “hey i feel more anxious when im on social media because of this reason, I should decrease how much time i spend doing that”)
• practicing self love (although it’s hard, it’s absolutely necessary)
• writing in a diary, it can be a physical diary or just on your phone (really important for people who can’t get therapists or don’t have anyone to talk to)
please stop downplaying the positive impact that small practices like these can have on someone’s life just because they won’t fix everything. small improvements are still improvements. neglecting yourself and your health is terrible for your mind and any steps towards taking better care of yourself are really important

music that makes me feel like i'm falling off a building in super slow motion
a playlist i made for people with cancer suns or libra moons (or both) and it's for us only :)
songs that make me feel ethereal and beautiful. like a greek goddess
have you ever seen a ghost? have you ever been somewhere that's haunted? have you ever been in love with a ghost? this is what it feels like
i want to find people that make me feel the way these songs do
you're screaming but nobody can hear you
you're laying in an abandoned hospital. everyone left you and they aren't coming back. you think you're gonna die alone, you close your eyes and when you open them you're a child again in your childhood bed
songs that bring back memories you didn't even know you had. nostalgia
I love that the internet saw people comparing women and other alienated groups of people and went, “they’re dating,” and, “they support each other.” We’re improving as a society.
Just a reminder. This coming Tuesday 7/2/24 is when the big internet bills for California will be seen by their respective Committees for markup.
SB 976 will be looked over by the Assembly Privacy and Consumer Protection Committees, and AB 3080 and AB 1949 will be looked over by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The time to send position letters has passed, but there's still time to call and email your assembly reps and state senators who are members of each committee to give them your opposition towards these bills and why. So make these last couple days count. Check to see if your reps are members of these committees, and tell them why you're opposed to them passing. (Most especially for these you can bring up the issue of the recent data breach of Twitter/X's age verification method just this past week to show why anything to do with age or ID verifidation is a bad idea.)
Thank you for your efforts everyone! May we show them exactly why we're in opposition and for good reason!

I would just like to point out that one time in into the spiderverse after the rest of the spiders left miles room and they were swinging away
They weren’t swinging from like tall buildings or nothing it was just open sky and they were swinging from the heckin moon or clouds or somethin
Bi guys are real and don’t deserve the judgement and biphobia they receive. Your bisexuality isn’t “secretly gay” and your right to be true to who you are is just as important as any straight or gay person 💕
