“[k.d. lang] is a woman who was clearly born to perform.”
“Not that you’d necessarily know she’s a woman at first sight. Tall and broad-shouldered, wearing a black cutaway coat flecked with gold, black pants, and her favorite steel-toed black rubber shitkicker work boots, she looks more like a cowboy. Her glossy dark hair is full but short, and when she tosses her head and strides across the stage on those long, strong legs, you suddenly realize she’s moving with a kind of physical freedom you’ve never seen a female singer display onstage before.” (Leslie Bennetts, 1993)

thoughts, feelings, and snide remarks:
where's my terror twin fanclub jacket
2. my favorite part about my audio production degree is watching what studio producers are actually doing in movies. for example, this producer turned up volume in two different places and was like yeah. i mixed the fuck outta "bringing on the heartbreak". ate that up. taking these cool cats to the top of the pops.
3. phil collen says "a million guys would trade places with you- hell, they'd give their left arm" to rick allen post-accident and it is silent for TEN WHOLE SECONDS!! I COUNTED!!
4. this low budget tv movie had a goddamn dream and yknow what i support it trying its best. some actor got to be mfking joe elliott and live his fantasy! good for him!
5. holy shit if this didn't have the rights to play actual def leppard songs this would be MISERABLE
anyways it got three and a half stars out of five on my letterboxd
to the surprise of no one i have continued to listen to a stupid amount of def leppard and i'm cutting my hair like joe tomorrow
yes that is how i talk to my hairdresser we're cool like that
sometimes when i don’t have the motivation for homework i draw dan and arin having little adventures on my notes
i FOR SURE had roxie and cappuccino no doubt about it
i think also num nums and mr squiggles but not sure
a whole new beast unlocks in me when joe elliot hits the high note on photograph
i dance in my room VERY often but that note gets the full invisible-mic-in-hand backbend to the floor and a slow slide to lying down
nostalgia web-core tiger sharks 💾 get it as a postcard and sticker here!
(so mad i can’t see straight) Yeah i just don’t think chat gpt is a good classroom tool

one of my biggest soul-defining passions! physical music! this is a part of music that has been taken from us with streaming platforms, and I am very driven to take it back. my collection means something to me, and that has worth. I love to go to record/CD stores, I love second-hand media, and I love to listen to music and feel what it is meant to be. record store day is april 12th! give it a try!
