“We try so hard to hide everything we’re really feeling from those who probably need to know our true feelings the most. People try to bottle up their emotions, as if it’s somehow wrong to have natural reactions to life.”
— Colleen Hoover (via naturaekos)
do good because you want to, not because you expect something in return
“An entire sea of water can’t sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. Similarly, the negativity of the world can’t put you down unless you allow it to get inside you.”

“For only the good doubt their own goodness, which is what makes them good in the first place. The bad know they are good, but the good know nothing. They spend their lives forgiving others, but they can’t forgive themselves.”
— Paul Auster, Man in the Dark
Physics says “no two objects can occupy the same space at the same time”, but I’ve observed the two of us existing in a moment simultaneously where there is entirely an absence of space, of separation; Physics says that if two bodies tried to occupy the same physical space, then the forces would collide and cause a mass explosion, so maybe that’s what I feel when we collide, maybe that’s what causes jolts under my sternum and why I feel like we become a cloud of colours, maybe this is why we both crave the fire; Physics says that two objects made of matter cannot occupy the same space, but light can, but energy can, and sometimes I feel like we become rays of light, sometimes I think we’re the energy of something old and maybe this is what we become as our bodies tessellate; or maybe, just maybe, we aren’t defying physics at all maybe we collide, cause explosions, then turn to rays of light and dance together in a moment; Or maybe it’s a lot more simple than that- Physics says that two objects can’t occupy the same space at the same time and so I’m becoming convinced that in those moments, when time becomes unexplainable, where my roots are tangled with yours, where we lack all spaces entirely, maybe it’s there that we become one, not two and like this we could exist in every moment that ever existed, two simultaneous souls in one.
