Reblog to punch john winchester and tell me in the tags where
*this post is only within their first movies for a fair comparison i’m not including anything from sequels/spinoffs/series etc, but you’re welcome to reblog and add your own 2 cents of course
Well not basically the same but there’s more similarities than differences,
*i’m bad at explaining will probably edit later cause the wording is so awkward
• Older guy, trickster/thieves, deadpan snarkers, with superiority inferiority/inferiority superiority complexes and troubled past forms an unlikely bond/friendship with young, cute, all loving, badass princess heroine.
• Heroine drags/threatens/blackmails them to take them on their mission
• They gave in, on their way they take them to a possibly dangerous place in hopes to intimidate them
• They gave them special nicknames:
- Rapunzel “Blondie”
- Judy “Carrots”
- Moana “Curly”
• Their relationship grow, they become more vulnerable around the heroine, enough to tell them about their unfortunate backstories
• They grow closer. They become the better versions of themselves
*With Tangled (Eugene/Rapunzel) being the only one to end up together romantically
In a nutshell:
Eugene/Nick/Maui, in the beginning of their movies: I need to get this brat off my back. Maybe i can smooth talk my way out of this, or just trick her.
Eugene/Nick/Maui: * takes advantage of their naivety, belittles them, ditches them *
Rapunzel/Judy/Moana: * persisted *
Eugene/Nick/Maui: UGH she’s so annoying, but she’s so brave/she saved my ass/inspired me, now I’m vulnerable enough to tell her my whole sad backstory
Rapunzel/Judy/Moana: * are understanding and gentle *
Eugene/Nick/Maui, at the end their movies: I would die for her 🥺❤️
Edit: i just learned that all 3 of them fall in under the “Trickster” archetype
I STAND WITH MY EVIL FUTCH WIFE !!! (Lestat de Lioncourt)
We need to talk...
There's been a lot of controversy surrounding the Moana/Maui pairing lately, and the main stumbling block is the demigod's age.
Are you serious? Pardon the expression, but I've had enough. There have been some very "serious" accusations... well, you know what. Like, that Moana is basically his daughter, etc. Even if she was, so what? She's an adult, no one sets up an underage girl with an adult man, all participants are consenting adults. Even I, when I wrote fanfics about them, always made Moana 4-5 years older. Plus, the demigod himself didn't see her as a potential partner in the first movie. His physical age is about 27-30, and that's how old he is mentally, he just doesn't age. He still has a lot to learn and grow up.
The hypocrisy of these haters, by the way, is staggering.
They don't bat an eyelid over Dracula and Erica/Johnny and Mavis from the Hotel Transylvania franchise, they don't yell at Bella Swan and Edward from Twilight like they do over Moana and Maui, and the age gap there is much bigger.
If you take away those 3000 years, you get a normal human couple with an age difference of maybe 10-11 years. So what? Is everything suddenly okay now?
I think this whole drama is blown out of proportion. I repeat: there is nothing illegal in the Moana and Maui pairing, the heroine is NOT A CHILD! She is an ADULT, an adult, a self-sufficient, thinking person. And we, the people who pair them, are not doing anything illegal! You may not like the big age difference between the characters - okay, it's your right not to like it, but don't make a big fuss about it and turn it into a circus. 😘
"minha barriga tá roncando" e suas coxas se tocando, sua barriga dobrando quando senta, seu corpo cheio de gordura balançando quando vc corre, suas roupas te apertando e seu braço todo molenga quando vc acena? não te incomoda tanto quanto?
Daily reminder that Paramount threw a blank check at Dylan O'Brien, negotiated with him on a higher level, and was willing to do ANYTHING just to have Dylan in the Teen Wolf Movie... but Dylan still rejected it because he doesn't want to have anything to do with Posey and Jeff. Meanwhile, Tyler Posey demanded more money than he's worth to be in the TW revival he's been begging for since the show got cancelled, but had to settle for a producer credit instead after Paramount rejected his demands

Can we just talk about this for one second?
“Wanna hear a dumb joke? A sentimental ex-con, a giant furball, and two of Piltover's most wanted walk into a weird cult.”
First, the sentimental ex-con.
The fact that Jinx, within the same act essentially called Vi out for being a traitor who joined forces with the "Piltie goons who killed [their] mom and dad" (and implied they both are psychos), still would rather affectionately see her sister as an ex-con over an enforcer–even though the latter position is more recent. She also acknowledges the softness, the gentleness that still exists in her older sister. Yes, she was more interested in “hitting things” when they were younger—and they were only recently at each other’s throats. But even so, Jinx knows that Vi is still sentimental at heart.
She saw Vi step between her/Isha when Caitlyn was still to willing take a fatal shot and traumatize or kill a child. She got to see her older sister put herself between Isha and Jinx when Warwick/Vander was coming at them full force. She sees the kindness in Vi still.
The affectionate jibe directed at Vander. Her second father, memories of whom she had been carrying around in the shape of guilt for YEARS, thinking that she had killed him. Throughout the act, until Singed irrevocably destroys Vander, we see how much this man loves his daughter. This act is the final admonishment to people who thought Vander didn’t love Powder–no, we just didn’t get to see their relationship as much. But he has always put so much responsibility on Vi because he wanted to make sure Powder, Claggor, and Mylo were safe–not that he loved Powder any less.
And lastly, her inclusion of Isha into their little screwed up family–two of Piltover’s most wanted. As we’ve seen in other posts, while Vi pushed Powder to the sidelines because she wanted to protect Powder, Jinx never excludes her because she didn’t want Isha to feel the way she did. I pity both Vi and Jinx so much because they were both showing love the best way they knew how–and tragedy and loss struck them both.
But my point is this: even though Jinx frames it as a joke, kind of snide and snarky, as we see in this episode and act…..this little family reunion/addition meant everything to her.
I’d let her choke me out if it meant that I’d get to feel her soft, slender fingers on my skin one last time.
