I'm crying, screaming, throwing up your fics are absolutely incredible!! I can't get enough of stories where Luffy dies first, but him just straight up disappearing with no clues or answers is a new level of pain (your "i hope they never find him" tag kills me 😭. I'm so happy he returns but I can't help imagining the strawhats spending their whole lives with that little bit of hope that Luffy will achieve the impossible and return to them again. Then as each one of them reaches the end of their long lives, about to close their eyes for the last time, they swear they can hear a bright laugh and feel warm rays of sunlight soothing their pain 😭😭😭

Chapter 6 "I don't get why we have to sleep in two different rooms anyway" Luffy whines, completely oblivious to the declaration of war he just interrupted. "Can't we just all share the biggest?"

Sanji lightly slaps him upside the head. "Luffy! A lady needs her space! Though, if you ever feel lonely, my lovely, I'm more than happy to-"

"Pass!" Nami sighs and rubs her forehead. "We still got that other room with all that junk. I wanted to keep it free for an infirmary, but as long as we don't have a doctor that's a moot point I guess. How about we clear that out and you boys can figure out who bunks with whom."

"Luffy!" They all shout at the same time.

Nami lets her forehead collide with the tabletop. It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic. 

hello again! i need to tell you that i've reread YLTS so often that i've begun dreaming about the story LMAO especially since the second chapter has art. I just rememebred that Chopper left some of Luffy's meds behind and Usopp made a sign, but aaaa the fire that Luffy came back to (that Sabo maybe set?????) might have burned up that sign and now I'm all wobbly-eyed again haha

They say that if the sun ever burns out, you will not know until eight minutes after it does. Then, you will notice the cold. The dark. The stars you once admired in the night now objects of terrified realization in the day.

Ok but....imagine if the strawhats wait the rest of their lives to see Luffy but he never comes home. After literally waiting a lifetime they all expect for him to he the first thing they see but nope still no sign of him anywhere. Thus the strawhats go on one more adventure looking for their wayward captain in the afterlife! They hold off spending time with their important loved ones (kuina, bellemere, dr. hirulk, so on) to look for him 😭😭😭. They def run into Ace and Sabo who are on their own journey for the same reason as the strawhats 😭.

wheres the fic anon *grabs u by the throat* ANON WHERES THE FIC that is so bittersweet tho. everyone luffys ever helped coming together to look for him AHHHH

on another note, someone commented something similar to this and im just repeating this here: i wont be able to explore other options besides the one i have planned, but id be totally down to make sidestories/extra/deleted scenes if anyone would like to specific scenes i couldnt cram in

that would only be AFTER i complete the actual fic tho 😭😭😭
