i think we as a fandom need to appreciate how important and rare it is to have such a strong female character who not only stands on her own, is a role model, AND doesn’t rely on men to have a likable personality. 

julie molina is such a strong female character, and is a perfect template for all women in the media. 

anyway stan kenny ortega and jatp for giving us nontoxic male characters, not one, not two, but THREE amazing and spectacular female characters, and one of the best tv show soundtracks that i’ve ever heard.

The way we hear the Rina cue in different variations throughout the season as Ricky’s feelings for Gina grow stronger/clearer and then we hear it again but in a full orchestra during their first [second] kiss. Not only the song stops sounding melancholic, it finally sounds completed and bright/expanded.

A few reasons why Jonathan Crombie will always be The Definitive Gilbert Blythe

1-His Birthday is in October- enough said!

2-His Mom’s name is Shirley Ann (yes, no ‘E’- but- its still cool!)

3-Jonathan chose to do The Continuing Story instead of going back to do plays at the Stratford Festival

4-He never tried to give the Definitive portrayal- it just happened
