They were all going to different colleges (or in Bill’s case, backpacking around Europe), and they’d no longer be the 7 little kids riding their bikes around Derry. As a last ditch attempt to spend some final time with his best friends, Stan organized a road trip to drive Beverly and Richie across the country to drop them off at their respective schools. With multiple days of driving ahead of them, they somehow become closer than before.

There’s nowhere else he’d rather be, not really. Nowhere except in a car, with his boyfriend who might be his boyfriend, who’s only sort of his boyfriend because they haven’t really talked about it yet, on the way to Los Angeles so he can get his name in lights.
