hi tumblr, today i offer you angst.

With the things she needed laid out on the counter, Mei began to prepare tea, while genuinely wondering if that would be enough to help Nezha. Not that she hadn't seen Pigsy take care of a sick MK by preparing a delicious bowl of noodles and giving him the proper care time and time again. She doesn't know how to cook noodles, but she could make it her way, right? With sweets and tea! Things that would make her feel better if she were sick, so she hoped it would have the same effect on Nezha.

Soon the simple smell of ready tea filled the room. Mei served it to Nezha in a mug with a handle themed after his favorite cartoon, along with the sweets served on a plate. She left them on the coffee table in the living room and had Nezha sit on the couch to take his temperature.

With a thermometer in hand, she waved it in the air before tucking it under his arm just because she saw Pigsy do it.

“Now just wait for it to measure your temperature” She said, hinting that he could drink the tea and eat the sweets in the meantime, handing him the mug. “Blow on it first 'cause it might still be hot! You don't want to burn your tongue. Do you need anything else?”

I type one last message to him before leaving the room I share with MK at Pigsy's noodle shop. He was kind enough to let me stay here and not be alone in my parents' mansion. I head downstairs to at least get some headache medicine in case he needs it if the tea isn't enough, and then I ride my motorcycle to his apartment.

When I get there, I talk to the doorman who lets me in easily, since he already knows me. I go up in the elevator to his apartment floor, knocking on the door a few times.

“hEYYY LOTUS PRINCE, I'M HERE, OPEN IT.” I say as I knock on his door, hoping he'll open it for me.

I take two small steps back, my hands hidden in the pockets of my hoodie as I wait patiently with a smile plastered on my face.

It took some time, but Nezha opened the door, looking at Mei with tired eyes.

"Mei-Mei" He smiled wearily, shaking hands held close to his chest. He was acting a bit strange, especially with the name... did he have a fever?
