Mei slightly noticed the way Nezha was acting. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but he didn't seem like the best friend she knew. There was something different about him that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

However, she felt unsure whether it would be okay to ask. It didn’t make sense at the moment, but it would be better to ask about it when he was fine. But she also didn’t want to just pretend she hadn’t noticed!

If only she knew how she could help him, what she could do that would be positive for him, to make him feel good. If she could at least show with actions that she is there for him, that he can trust her and stuff.

Suddenly she was no longer paying attention to the cartoon, but to Nezha, to the way he seemed entertained, humming the lyrics of the cartoon's songs, swinging his legs like a child and snuggling into his giant plush toy.

She didn't stop hugging her own dragon tail as she watched him, however.

I type one last message to him before leaving the room I share with MK at Pigsy's noodle shop. He was kind enough to let me stay here and not be alone in my parents' mansion. I head downstairs to at least get some headache medicine in case he needs it if the tea isn't enough, and then I ride my motorcycle to his apartment.

When I get there, I talk to the doorman who lets me in easily, since he already knows me. I go up in the elevator to his apartment floor, knocking on the door a few times.

“hEYYY LOTUS PRINCE, I'M HERE, OPEN IT.” I say as I knock on his door, hoping he'll open it for me.

I take two small steps back, my hands hidden in the pockets of my hoodie as I wait patiently with a smile plastered on my face.

It took some time, but Nezha opened the door, looking at Mei with tired eyes.

"Mei-Mei" He smiled wearily, shaking hands held close to his chest. He was acting a bit strange, especially with the name... did he have a fever?
