Leave it to DesertDuo to be the ones to make the best possible metaphor for their relationship. Bread Bridge. Their relationship isnβt love or hate or whatever else you want to call it, itβs that stupid fucking bridge.
Every time they meet, itβs the same song and dance, they try and build bridges, to connect to what they had back in that goddamned desert (and isnβt is ironic that there is one on this map, just out of reach?) yet even back then they were still the same. Yes they try and build bridges, but it never ends in any way other than violence.
Literally the first major DesertDuo moment, Grian tries to have fun with his friends and throw a little prank and what happened? Scar dies.
End of third life, Scar tries to apologize to Grian and repent for the betrayal he caused and how does it end? Scar dead in the sand and Grian not far behind.
Last life? Scar tried to befriend Grian immediately and he goes along with it, only for Grian to literally steal his life and run away.
And donβt get me started on Double Life. Souls so intertwined yet somehow the dynamic barely shifts. Every single one of their deaths occurred while trying to help the other did it not?
And here we are, on the fourth rendition of this hellscape and Grian is building a bridge to Scar. Do you think he saw it and had hope? That maybe they could be allys again? (Thereβs a way we can still be friends Mumbo)
Do you think there was any suprise when that bridge is basically what killed him?

In case anyone wants to know why Papyrus is so mad-
Heβs the one that comforts Frisk when they wake up every night with nightmares. Heβs the one that drives them to and from therapy. Heβs the one that takes care of them.
Thatβs his kid.
Danny. Jam, now!!!!

And I know I've kissed you before but
I didn't do it right

Honestly one of my favorite headcanons is that Martin was embezzling funds from the institute AND from Peter Lucas personal. Like yeah he's being psychologically tormented and manipulated and 100% expects death when Peter's done with him but he's isn't gonna die broke.
ik I've joked about it before but I really do love how the slimecicle character formula is just like. make a silly goofy wet guy. give him unimaginable amounts of childhood trauma and bad coping mechanisms. make his life just a little bit better and then tear it away from him. gay rp to ease the pain. and you know what? I eat that shit up every time we love charlie slimecicle in this household
What kills me about Saiki knowing his friends would accept him if they knew about his powers is that... yes, he knows this. He believes in them enough at the point of the volcano that he knows they would care for him and want him around regardless.
But he says "I wouldn't want to put them in this position because it would be hard for them". His friends would be willing to get used to knowing their minds are being read 24/7 and they would be willing to know Saiki can manipulate their thoughts if he wants, and they would be willing to get used to all his little oddities because they love him.
But Saiki doesn't want them to have to. He wanted to be "normal" for them.
Love being able to understand only a tiny bit of Spanish. I canβt understand what you want to do but I can understand that you hate your bitch wife

Two mistakes of the universe go for a walk. Despite this, the universe doesnβt chew them up and spit them out. It lets them be. They deserve it, after all.
Itβs a lovely day.
at this point nothing Charlie Slimecicle will do surprise me. Nothing. He could win the Olympics and I would think it makes sense. He could adopt three hundred tarantulas and train them to dance ballet. He could invent a language only cakes can understand. He could commit mass manslaughter, and I wouldnβt bat an eye. Nothing would phase me. I am immune.
