a few age related observations & easter egg clownery

So first, Taylor's current age is 31.

A Few Age Related Observations & Easter Egg Clownery

In All Too Well (The Short Film), Taylor highlights being 21 years old. Then, later in the film, we cut to 13 years later.

21 + 13 = 34 years old

ATW10 book release Taylor was 34 years old

And then, we got this detail from Jimmy Fallon where Taylor mentions hinting at something 3 years in advance

Remember Taylor today is 31.

31 + 3 = 34 years old

Taylor also mentions in this interview that she actively sought to incentivize fans to read her lyrics with her coded messages. And that her lyrics, her words, are what she is most proud of in her career.

We've been seeing certain hints toward Speak Now as of late.

I must also remind you of this very important line from the Speak Now prologue. (I had this in a draft on November 1st and should've posted it then!)

A Few Age Related Observations & Easter Egg Clownery

Furthermore, I saw it suggested somewhere that the very title cards throughout the short film were chapter titles to ATW10 Taylor's book.

Long story short, I unabashedly in full clownery predict Taylor is planning on releasing a tell-all memoir like the ATW10 version of herself did. Furthermore, with the various Speak Now easter eggs we've seen lately, I also predict that Speak Now will be coming soon and that this "book millions might read someday" will be in our hands in about 3 years time

A Few Age Related Observations & Easter Egg Clownery

I believe this is something she's been planning for a while. And I can't wait to hear what she's been waiting to say!

I Need You Guys To Listen So Bad, But I’m At Least Glad People On Twitter Are Starting To Talk About

I need you guys to listen so bad, but I’m at least glad people on Twitter are starting to talk about this. The government of Canada is expanding Medically Assisted Death to cull the poor and disabled, and now suicidal and mentally ill (these are usually interchangeable of course here). It is EUGENICS and every single disabled rights organization is against it.

Disability payments are $1,200 a month. The average one bedroom apartment rent in the Greater Toronto Area (greatest pop. area by far here) is $2,000 a month. People with mental illnesses are on months long waitlists to get even a single publicly funded session. Weeks to get privately funded care which costs at least $200 a session. There is no housing here for disabled people. We are in one of the worst housing crises in the world right now.

Doctors are now offering MAiD unprompted to young suicidal people. This woman is 21, a health practitioner literally suggested she kill herself.

I Need You Guys To Listen So Bad, But I’m At Least Glad People On Twitter Are Starting To Talk About

This is one of the worst Disability Rights Violations we’ve ever seen in Canada. The government is killing us because it is cheaper than funding healthcare, cheaper than giving people housing and food and basic human rights.

New Kaylors, This Is A PSA

New Kaylors- PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!

Pun unintended.

Do not, and I repeat, do not listen to TTB. I am a seasoned Kaylor, and I can assure you, you will fare far better if you avoid her blog entirely. Trust me, I am speaking from experience.

I have been a Kaylor for years and it was only a couple of months back when Taylor said she was “advocat[ing] for a community [she] was not a part of” (that damn article) when the spell wore off and I realized that I had been buying into something non-existent for ages.

Now before I go any further, I would like to clarify my stance on Kaylor. I think it’s dead, and that they’ve broken up. I wish it wasn’t so, but it would seem that their love story has met a bitter end. I still think that they dated, or at least had something special sometime from 1989 into Reputation, but it has become increasingly apparent that they are no longer close.

For years, I would repost TTB’s asks on my IG page, I would reblog her posts, I would send her asks. I bought her, and what’s more I bought into Spade (will discuss Spade later). I was a total fan, I thought of her as the queen of Kaylors, our ultimate treasure and resource.

I was wrong.

For starters, she is unnecessarily rude towards Joe. I mean, personally, I don’t trust Joshua Kushner as far as I can throw him (I don’t trust any Kushner, and I’ve been feeling kind of distant towards Karlie on account of this association, and other factors), and I don’t really like Joe, nor do I dislike him (”it isn’t love, it isn’t hate, it’s just indifference”) but Joe doesn’t have any criminal ties. Joe isn’t related to one of the biggest crime families in America. Joe is an actor from England (however he is a Pisces, so I don’t know, he could be way more sinister than I thought) and I just don’t think that we need to harbor such negative feelings towards him. There are better, more Kaylor-y ways we could be spending our time, like by streaming DWOHT or making cute Kaylor edits and then hyping up each other’s Kaylor edits. She scribbled over his face when posting a picture of him on her blog, and the reason given for that behavior was that she didn’t want him gaining publicity or exposure from her blog (which she is allegedly convinced Taylor herself frequents, take note of the word ‘allegedly’). I mean, pretty sure all of the Kaylors would be familiar with Joe anyway, given his connection to Taylor, so I am not sure what she gains by being so adamant about him not receiving any publicity from her blog.

Secondly, and this is something I want to place great emphasis on here. Taylor is not coming out, not anytime soon, anyway, or at least, I don’t think so, but I don’t have a confidential source to consolidate this information for me, so I don’t know. She could pull an Evelyn Hugo (highly recommend the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid by the way, sooooooo many Kaylor parallels and just overall a great book) and release details about her relationships and sexuality when she’s retired, but Taylor is not coming out in an edition of Rolling Stone, not now, I don’t think. And if you think Karlie will be, well, I’d like to direct you to her Instagram page. By the way, if you’re also upset about her affiliations with Scooter and Joshua, just unfollow her, it works wonders. Commenting won’t do anything, in fact it probably just pleases Scooter to know how many fans of Taylor’s are irked by Karlie’s connection to him, because that’s just the kind of sick, disgusting man he is.

And speaking of those two, Kaylor is over. Well, I think so anyway. Kaylor is honestly speculation, no matter how much there is to suggest it’s real, and I don’t know Taylor or Karlie personally, so do not take this as fact. I don’t have any secret sources who send me riddles or private info, I’m just going off of what I see and hear. I mean, Taylor could be making out with Karlie right now, or Taylor could be on the dark web trying to take a hit out on her. The point is, we know nothing, no matter how much we wish we did.

Furthermore, let’s get into the main reason why TTB is so popular: Spade. Spade is her… I don’t know. At first, I thought he was a godsend, but once I stopped buying into her posts, I realised how nonsensical it seemed that some high-up representative of Taylor or Karlie would be communicating with this one Kaylor account feeding it tidbits of information about what would be one of the most confidential relationships in Hollywood. I mean, there are multiple Kaylor accounts that have a significant following- so why just TTB if this is a representative of one of the girls? Why not reach out to multiple big blogs if you want to The most logical explanation would be that Spade is TTB’s own creation that she uses to garner interest in her blog and further her own agenda. A more reach-y, though not totally implausible theory is that Spade, or even TTB herself (she gives very little information about her actual line of work) is a low-level employee of Team Klossy, or an intern over there, who uses Kaylor as a way of retaining some of Karlie’s fans, given that many are mad at her over the Scooter thing (because TTB is not the only Kaylor account that claims to have sources), but I doubt it. The point is, Spade is a farce. Spade predominantly (pretty much exclusively) messages TTB in the form of cryptic riddles, which, with a little shuffling, pretty much go along with whatever yarn TTB is spinning that week. And then on top of that, there are allegedly “private messages” between her and Spade that contain secrets she isn’t allowed to divulge. Okay? It’s cult-ish, almost, the enigmatic Spade and the glorious TTB who heralds his messages about the mysterious complexities of Kaylor through apocryphal missives. Biblical, is it not? It makes you feel special, like you hold secrets that others are not privy too, and it is a marvelous, truly euphoric feeling.

The main reason I’m writing this isn’t because I have some personal vendetta against TTB. I’m writing this because I know that the majority of Kaylor shippers are (mostly young, some are older) gay women, a lot of whom did not come from particularly supportive homes, who seek solace and comfort in knowing that a woman they admire and look up to is just like them and knows what they’re experiencing, just like myself. People who find happiness in the queer subtext of Taylor’s albums and in there being a community that’s dedicated to the loving pairing of two women. It’s not about fetishism (by the way, for any non-Kaylors reading this, please stop throwing that word around every time you come across a Kaylor) nor projecting nor sexualization, it’s about love and support and comfort, and in some cases discovery, because I know that Kaylor helped me realise my identity and I know it did for others too. And quite frankly, I don’t think it’s fair that TTB spouts stuff she knows is garbage when she is aware of this large demographic of Kaylors. And that’s the reason for this post, because I don’t want some other, young, naive Kaylor falling into the same trap I did where they take her word as gospel only to feel deflated and humiliated when they wake up and realise they’ve been buying into utter fantasies.

And no, I am not saying that TTB is solely responsible for this. As I mentioned I was naive and desperate to believe, and Taylor herself didn’t exactly dissipate rumors, especially during the YNTCD rollout but personally, her actions feel quite manipulative. She keeps telling her readers that Kaylor is still alive and the contracts are over and it is not good, not for anyone’s mental health, especially those deeply invested in Kaylor, to keep buying into it. I don’t know why she keeps pushing Kaylor, maybe she’s too proud to let it go or maybe she’s hoping to generate enough engagement to start collecting ad revenue, I genuinely don’t know what she gains by beating this dead horse, but I have reason to believe it is nothing admirable. Hope and optimism is admirable yes, but not when it turns into naivete and desperation.

This ire is not directed at any of the other Kaylors, just her and the way she proudly peddles these lies, knowing of all of the hopeful Kaylors out there who are being lulled into a false sense of security. I implore you, please try to look at her page objectively and look at what she posts. The secret messaging, the cryptic codes. I know when you’re right there, taking it all in, how exciting it feels to know something that not everyone else does, to see all of the little ways Karlie and Taylor communicate- but please just try to look at it from an objective point-of-view.

Now, this part, I cannot confirm all of the tales, so please do not take this as fact because I could be very wrong about this statement, but I have seen screenshots of various messages and heard of some terrible stories about her bullying, and attacking anyone who criticizes her with disturbing levels of vitriol and malice. Former Kaylors, current Kaylors and Toe shippers have all shared screenshots or stories of her being awfully vicious towards people, and I just don’t believe that the Kaylor community, a place of support and care for those who might not receive it at home, should be tolerable of such aggravated behavior. She even came after @thetaylorfiles at one point, a blogger who has always respectfully critiqued some of the more whimsical aspects of her blog and the enigma that is Spade, which was uncalled for and rude.

Again, this isn’t some spiteful attack on TTB, this is a heartfelt plea to all of the new Kaylors who are in the same position as I was, please try not to listen. I know it is tempting and it sounds convincing and damn, is she persuasive, but it is a lie. She is a fraud, and what’s more, it has been made abundantly clear that she does not care. For someone that speaks so highly of their own maturity and rationale when engaged in combat with someone, her willingness to lure people, particularly new Kaylors who haven’t found their feet yet, to me is gross. I can’t tell if she knows she is belaboring the continued existence of Kaylor and enjoys her notoriety too much to acknowledge the truth or if she is genuinely still under the impression that Taylor and Karlie are still together, if it is the latter, fine, maybe she’ll learn one day. If it is the former, then I can safely say that I have no respect for her. People look up to her. People admire her. People worship her. And if she is truly willing to drag those people along, then there is nothing more to say.

Now, before I close off, I would like to reiterate that, this is my opinion. This is the experience of a big Kaylor, who, just like most other Kaylors that frequent Tumblr, listened to and loved TTB. But then the spell ended. Because that is exactly what this is. It’s a spell. It’s an illusion. You can wear a mask and dance the night away at a masquerade ball, but eventually, all that dancing will make the mask fall right off. And for me, that mask fell off. Once it did, I felt sad, embarrassed even, that I had let myself fall into this myriad of deceit. And once again, I will clarify that I am not implying that TTB was solely responsible for this. Nobody would ever be convinced of the existence of Kaylor by just one blog alone, Taylor and Karlie’s actions were obviously the driving force, but she went along with the exact same sins that she condemned Taylor and Karlie for. Enforcing an illusion. Playing a long game of charades. TTB is by no means the only Kaylor blog out there that claims to have “sources”, but she is one of the biggest and most unrelenting Kaylors out there, which is why I would

Now, if you’ve read this and you still want to take a gander at her page, or, if I have unintentionally increased her viewership, please just keep this in the back of your mind. I have nothing to gain, and I have nothing to lose. I have no personal grudge against TTB, I have never had an unpleasant interaction with her. But please, I implore you, do not fall into the same trap I did. Be objective, be reasonable and keep your wits about you.

Some Kaylor blogs that I like include:

@kaylorfossil

@kayloralisonswift (if you’re in the same boat I am and you have some queries, or if you would like a more objective opinion from a Kaylor)

@kaylorrepdetective

@kaylorswiftkloss13

@femmetay (a personal favourite of mine, always has a great take)

@fearlyssa

@kaylorkloft

@kaylorgifs

@fallfrovmgrace

(I will add to this list as I go).

Oh, and, word to the wise, you may hear whisperings of a blogger named Enty, who runs “Crazy Days and Nights”. I recommend steering clear of Enty too, his story changes with the tide.

And by the way, this is in no way an attack on anyone who reads or believes in her stuff, I am not saying anyone here is stupid for doing so and I am not trying to make anyone who believes in her feel bad, because I used to do it to. I just want to encourage objective thinking at the very least, if I cannot dissuade people from reading her blog.

My Tears Ricochet Theory

Kaylors, This post is low-key for you but I think everyone should be open to this interpretation regardless of shipping.

My Tears Ricochet is actually about watching someone you thought you were going to marry someday, marry someone else. The opening line “We gather here, we line up, weeping in a sunlit room” is referencing a wedding. We Gather Here Today to see the union of person A and person B. However the following parts : Weeping in a sunlit room, sounds more like a funeral. This is because this Wedding marks the death of the writer (Taylor) upon seeing her Lover marry someone else. Their love is dead, forever.

“Cause I loved you, I swear I Loved you, I loved you until my dying day”  Sound like would-be wedding vows, except now they will never be said.

“We gather stones, never knowing what they mean, some to throw some to make a diamond ring” This lyric marks Taylor’s intention to marry Person A, although life clearly had other plans. Perhaps this wedding is a slap to the face of Taylor, Person A throwing rocks.

“You know I didn’t want to have to haunt you, but what a ghostly scene” once again playing with the theme of a funeral or the death of love, now it is cursed. “You were the same jewels that I gave you as you bury me” All the “Stones” that Taylor gave her lover before a possible wedding ring.

To add to this: I think Person A is settling with Person B. Taylor and Person A didn’t work out for whatever reason but it would seem that Taylor begged them to stay “I didn’t have it in myself to go with grace, cause when I’d fight you used to tell me I was brave” Person A clearly still misses Taylor though “If I’m dead to you why are you at the wake? Cursing my name, wishing I’d stayed”

Furthermore, The Last Great American Dynasty is a metaphor for this exact concept. Person A married for superficial reasons, not love. Money, Loud Parties, Filling pools with champagne. But in the night Person A will always hear Taylor’s “Stolen Lullabies” the songs written about them, and wonder the same as what Taylor does “It could’ve been fun, if you were the one”

I really love this line as well “You turned into your worst fears And you’re tossing out blame, drunk on this pain Crossing out the good years”

Person A never wanted to be the person marrying for money, they are a hopeless romantic. Perhaps they didn’t come from money, like Rebecca in The Last Great American Dynasty, they were Middle Class. They were the type to make fun of people like that, now taylor writes of Person A’s friends of privilege “Bitch Pack Friends”

And yet Person A for some reason blames Taylor for the outcome, they can’t let go of the love either, they are drunk on the pain of losing the love of their life and crossing out the good years, forgetting the innocence of youth and trading it for the corruption of wealth.

Her latest album, folklore, is a refreshing departure from all that. It’s a newish sound for her, but the narrative style she uses on some of the album’s best tracks feels at once familiar and novel. It’s a callback to some of her earliest work. It’s “Enchanted” off Speak Now with its neutral pronouns and lyrics about being kept awake until 2 a.m. plagued by the “lingering question … ‘who do you love?’” It’s “Breathe” all over again. It all set the stage for “betty,” a song about a love triangle which, depending on how you listen to it, could be about three women and absolutely zero men. To arrive at that interpretation, you need to know that, like much of Swift’s best songwriting, it’s all coded: Swift is named for James Taylor and all three of the names used in the song — James, Inez, Betty — are the names of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’s three daughters. James is a woman and Betty, the classmate she pines for the entire song, is too. When James skateboards past Betty’s house, she can’t breathe.

It still works even if you don’t subscribe to the theory that James is a woman. In that read, Swift’s still singing as James. She’s donning a male persona, embodying him in a sort of musical drag. It takes Lover’s “The Man” from hypothetical to very literal. William Bowery, a songwriter nobody has ever heard of, has a credit on the track. There’s some speculation that this is Swift herself, once again using a male pen name. (She’s previously written as Nils Sjoberg when she didn’t want anyone to know it was her.)

It’s a heteronormative interpretation of the song’s love story, but one that doesn’t make the song any less queer. (Plus, if you listen to “betty” as a trio with “cardigan” and “august,” you’ll still find the supposed love triangle arc has no male pronouns.) Consider it a more fluid version of what Swift did with “Love Story,” a song that on its surface sounds like it’s about a straight couple, but if you listen more closely, if you want to hear it differently, a queer narrative reveals itself. A story about a father who won’t let Juliet be with the person she loves. A male name — Romeo, James — used as a cover story. In “Love Story,” Swift sings and writes as Juliet. What she does with “betty” is a savvy move that frees her up to weave plot from a whole new perspective and give her queer fans what they’ve been thirsting for, all at the same time. Conspiracy theories about Swift still abound. The whole album is in lowercase save for Bon Iver’s name. His initials spell … you know. William Bowery is an anagram for “wow I’m really bi.” And in a real back-breaking reach, some stans say if you listen to “Mad Woman” around the 1:15 mark you can hear the phrase “Taylor Kloss come out” hidden inside the lyrics. (The actual words are “till her claws come out.”)
