Making Good Night Lavender Chai
Ingredients:
2 cups Very Vanilla Soy Milk
2 chamomile lavender teabags
2 tsp clover honey
½ tsp vanilla extract
Lavender buds (optional)
Nutmeg (optional)
Directions
Pour soy milk into saucepan and heat on low temperature. Do not bring to a boil.
Prepare chamomile lavender tea in teapot and allow to steep (I used 1-½ cups water that had just started to simmer).
Mix honey and vanilla into soy milk. Whisk to blend.
Once soymilk is heated through, pour into teapot where tea has been steeping. Whisk to blend.
Allow to steep at least 10 minutes.
Pour tea. Garnish with nutmeg and lavender buds.
This recipe makes a full teapot (enough for 4-6 servings).
Enjoy!!
When I was a little girl, my mother used to repeat this to me first thing in the morning and last at night. She used to sing it to me when I was sick, and she used to chant it to me when I was upset. I do not know where she got it from, so if anyone knows the original creator, please let me know. But I wanted to share this because I still say it night and day, and I saw it when I am anxious (which is a lot) or preparing myself for a spell.
I am a witch I am one with the earth, the universe and the divine May this day be free from strife and fear May only joy and love come near With blessings given and received I walk in peace In word and deed
