I recently found some ponyo art books I was sent from family in Japan years ago. I remember why I loved this movie so much. I want to try to do more scenery studies like these bcs they were fun.

A kind lady at my local used book shop gave me and my friend a huge cardboard box of 80s magazines just because ❤️.

College is kicking my butt rn but I still have time for ✨️him✨️

what oil pastels did you use?

caran d'ache & a few sennelier oil pastels ! :)

i cannot with how you draw ed's eyes, he's so soft 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

His eyes are so 🥺, adding the eye lashes is my favorite

your oil pastels are absolutely stunning. Like I love oil pastel artwork and yours is really incredible. Like the layering and the tiny details (ed's tattoos! gossip lady's eyelashes!!) are just like!! Woah!! What brand of pastels do you use? On what paper? Your style is so fun and curly i just love it. And the colors are lovely.

Thank yo000U!! 🥺 i use a mix of caran d'ache oil pastels and a few sennelier pastels (mainly White, and this color called orange ochre which is perfect for skin tones, i just LOVE it).

As for paper i really like cotton paper because it's more forgiving with layering and blending the pastels. I bought like two big sheets of cotton water color paper and cut them down to smaller sheets, you can find them at most art or craft stores. Any brand is good as long as it's relatively smooth in my opinion :))!
