To me crowley is not arrogant at all. He loves what he helped create. He loves humanity. He admires humanity for our qualities but mostly for our flaws. He is the one that wanted to save the world.

Yes he doesn't seem to "care" about Azi's presence but if you put yourself in his shoes at the moment where he created everything, I think you can understand. When I am absorbed in something I created and I am proud of, nothing else matters and I am excited to talk about it to every person I can find to talk about it. Doesn't matter who they are.

And that's what's beautiful about art. If everyone admires your art, that's cool. But if you are proud of yourself for creating something, and people like it, that's better.

Maybe you could watch the show again? Not only does Crowley ignore Aziraphale because he is too busy to admire his stars to even look at him, but he is also arrogant towards humanity and the Earth. Maybe it was precisely this arrogance that caused his Fall, what do you think?

He fights with his brain. He is really good at thinking on his feet. In a physical fight, he gets over the violence by talking his way out of it and using his creativity to come up with a quick exit. He thinks up plans quickly and efficiently (raising the antichrist, surviving Ligur and Hastur, getting Hastur stuck in the phone, figuring out how to cross the M25 aflame, the Arrangement, saving Aziraphale in 1941, the plan to rob the church in the 60s, fooling an horde of angels into believing Job's kids are new kids, do you want me to continue?).

And he has the added bonus of having a silver tongue, so his words are always clearly his main weapon to bring his plans into fruition. And, so far, we've only seen him fail once: convincing Aziraphale to stay

Some ideas about characters have become so common in the fandom that I began to doubt myself and what I saw on screen. Am I the one misinterpreting or misremembering? So I watched the entire series again, paying more attention than I normally do, precisely because by then I was unsure of my own thoughts. But none of what pisses me off is actually in the show, it's all added by the fandom.

Crowley is not pathetic, he is not Aziraphale's dog, he is not crying in a corner waiting for Aziraphale to call him. He's fucking smart, brave, full of ideas and imagination. Aziraphale is not a mastermind who purposely makes Crowley suffer, he is not the cold-hearted badass that some want him to be.

Some things I don't like - I hate when someone calls Crowley a slut or a whore - might be a matter of personal preference. I dislike that choice of words, but someone use them in a affectionate (?) way, I guess. But if you enjoy humiliating Crowley or if you believe that Aziraphale is someone who enjoys humiliating Crowley and that he thinks of him as if he were his dog, you can write your own fanfic, but that’s not canon.
