Is YA for YA?

Me being curious and doing a dumb survey here.

I want to see what kind of age range a fandom around ‘New Adult’ sits in. The books are often put in the YA section, but there’s smut in them, and we all know the fandom LOVES chapter 55. This is kind of for relevant data for the ‘Is Sex in YA OKAY?’ debate.

I’m so confused as to how Jesse Blackthorn turned out to be how he is. This boy is FANTASTIC! But he’s also dead and has Tatiana for a mother and Grace for a sister soooo. I’m torn on loving him and being terrified of what him coming back to life would mean

It seemed she could not think of Mark without thinking of Kieran, too. Could not see blue and gold eyes without seeing black and silver.

My favorite misunderstanding I’ve had to clear up so far was a Japanese person asking me about the word “fuck”. Because apparently someone had told him if he said “fuck” in America that he might be killed on the spot. Which I think is the funniest lie that I’ve ever heard
