see the thing abt taylor swift stalking private jet lawsuit is that i thought she loaned her private jet to other people which is why her carbon emissions were so high. so how could a twt bot using public data to document the goings of her jet even help a potential stalker trying to find her location?? its not like that account publishes who is aboard. unless she lied to save face and everytime that dumbass jet flies shes on it đ¤¨đ¤¨
I love Taylor Swift's music, but I need to say this.
Midnights DID NOT deserve AOTY.
I haven't even heard the other nominated albums but the first time I listened to Midnights I knew it wasn't AOTY material. Just compare it with her other AOTY wins and you'll know what I'm talking about. Like there was nothing new or revolutionary about the album itself music wise.....it broke a lot of records and had good marketing and everything but the songs and production and lyricism itself were subpar compared to Swift's other albums even non-Grammy ones. How she got nominated in that category let alone won is beyond me...for I'm sure there were other deserving albums out there .......Midnights just wasn't it
Obsessed with Miles Bron in Glass Onion choosing a murder mystery game as the entertainment for his private weekend getaway with his closest friends. An activity to provide structure to what would otherwise be 3 days lazing about on a Greek isle with his âfriends.â A game that requires an intensive weekend of solo investigation and observation and puzzle-solvingâŚwhich Miles himself will not have to participate in.Â
Miles has assigned his âfriendsâ homework for their weekend holiday. And their assigned task is to labor and compete to impress him by solving a mystery. Itâs no coincidence that the mystery game compels his friends to work separately. He has isolated his friends so that he can remain their individual focus. Note that Miles hasnât bothered to come up with an actual prize for the winnerâŚbecause to his mind, the ultimate prize is Milesâs respect. Heâs flummoxed and insulted when Benoit Blanc requests a physical rewardâand something as comparably worthless as an iPad.
So of course Milesâs friends are relieved when Benoit Blanc blows up the game. Because it means the pressure to perform is off. The pressure to provide the entertainment for Miles, because make no mistake, theyâve been invited to the island to entertain Miles and keep him happy. Honestly, ever since they took his side in the trial, that invitation has become a summons. Can you imagine any of them declining his invitation? Itâs a luxury vacation, sureâŚbut itâs also a summons to perform a jesterâs dance before King Miles, who can easily destroy them if they fail to show their gratitude/fealty.
Milesâs response to the game ending early is to ask, horrified, âWhat am I supposed to do now? Play Yahtzee all weekend?â Heaven forbid he enjoy spending unstructured time with his closest friends in the lap of luxury! But to a narcissist like Miles Bron, any moment when the attention isnât on him must be Hell. And thatâs why his murder mystery game was the perfect plan to make his friends compete for his approval, while he sat back and enjoyed the show.
Cannot believe they took 1899 from us. We are an era where shows that are not instant hit are being massively cancelled instead of giving them of a chance. Dark was a hit after a while and it became for many the best show on the platform. 1899 needed the same time. It had the potential to have the Dark effect, it was in the top 10 most watched for weeks.
I don't think the show will be picked up or sold, Netflix owns it. Fuck them. Fuck this system. Spread some 1899 love.
i'm personally of the opinion that cute animal/pet videos should be presented either with the original sound or muted. i do not like when people add tiktok sounds or soundtracks. end of take.
I know a lot of people hate dan brown books but honestly I don't get why people need to trash talk them. They are no masterpieces but they are a fun read that gets you invested. Obviously fictional and no way realistic but just great to actually stay motivated to read. It doesn't need to be serious and deep reading all the time.
And then shitting on what he writes about?! Yeah if you don't like it move on and find a different author with a different style and genre if you think he writes nonsense. I think he actually does a lot of research for his books since they have a historical core even if it's embellished with lots of made up conspiracies. But then again if you can differentiate between reality and fiction and go with the flow it's a pleasurable read in my opinion.
Everyone should be allowed to read what they want and to not fear what others may say. That's true for anything really. From high fantasy to romance novels. Reading is reading and should be always looked upon as a good thing.
The "I can fix him" trope
Lucy Gray : NO <3
I can watch no longer in silence. I must complain about you by such means as are within my reach. Youâve ripped out my soul. I am half agony, half hopeless. Tell me not that this is it, that such precious Jane Austen adaptations are gone forever.Â
I offer you my screenwriting advice with a heart even more desperate than when you almost broke it with the release of the Persuasion trailer one month ago.
Dare not say that this movie is accurate, that this Anne is a stronger protagonist than her book counterpart. I have loved none but her. Pretentious I may have been, annoying and demanding I have been, but always with the filmâs best interests at heart.Â
The book alone has brought me to you. For it alone I sat and watched. Have you not realized this? Can you fail to have understood my wishes? I would not have waited even ten minutes after turning off the TV to write this, could I have mastered my own feelings, as I think you must have guessed mine.Â
I can hardly type. I am in every instant recalling something which makes me want to punch a wall. You rewrote Anne as a snarky girlboss, but I can appreciate the nuance of her book counterpart when it would be lost on the Netflix execs. Too horrible, too disgusting adaptation! You do us insult, indeed. You do believe that there is not a single brain cell in your audience. Believe mine to have shriveled up and died while watching this movie, most painfully, in the brain of
-Everyone Watching
I must go, and cleanse my remaining sanity with the 1995 adaptation; but I shall return hither, to laugh at this adaptation with my friends, as soon as I can stomach it. But another sentence of clunky narration, another infuriating wink from this horrible version of Anne to the camera, will be enough to make me cancel my Netflix subscription forever.
I just know if Instagram existed Coryo would be there like "lucygray", "lucygray23" , "thecovey", "lucygrayofficial", "thelucygray", etc
His paranoid ass would have checked out each and every one of those
This!!!
I'm about to start a Sejanus Plinth defense squad considering the takes (tm) i have seen on his character.
The reason why Sejanus trusted Snow is because Snow never gave him a reason not to. It is not because he is stupid. Actually I would argue, if we didn't have his internal monologue and we didn't know his future, Coryo's actions before part 3 would make him seem very trustworthy as a friend for Sejanus AND as someone who is willing to defy the Capitol. But we have his internal monologue and Sejanus didn't.
Form Sejanus's point of view, he was bullied as a kid and Coryo was the only one who didn't participate in it.
Coryo was the one who went and met the tributes and climbed with them to the zoo. From Sejanus' point of view, this could be seen as his first act of defiance.
Coryo cheated to save Lucy Gray, the district 12 girl three times. He got expelled because of it, that's literally defying the Capitol.
Sejanus went into the arena to die and Coryo stopped him, putting his own life in danger in the process. Of course he would trust Snow with his life after that.
Snow put on a front. That's the point of the contrast between his extremely unhinged internal monologue and his somewhat heroic action. Lucy Gray fell for it (to a point), Sejanus fell for it , everyone fell for it.
That's not on Sejanus and it doesn't make him stupid.
That one line where he says he liked it better when Lucy Gray was locked up in the Capitol so he would know where she was at all times......How do you read that and still think he's being humanized
Some of you read with your own eyes snow literally talking about owning Lucy Gray and still thought to yourselves âthis book is using this love story to humanize snow and make him a good guyâ hmmmm interestingâŚ
The rebellion would have been so much shorter if Katniss had accidentally sang Pure as the driven snow. He would have had a heart attack right there and then.
Had no idea that TIME Person of the Year was a popularity contest.... Coz no way Taylor Swift deserves that with all that's going on and all that's happened this year
Thank you..... Reading old books with wear and tear gives me a warm feeling
Yes I dog ear the corners of my books, No I don't care when the pages of my books come out, I appreciate the signs of wear and tear, I like it when they look like they've been read and absorbed, like they've really influenced me, I like it when they look like they belong in a museum, yes we exist.
thinking about how patroclus had like 18 years to get used to the idea of losing achilles but achilles had absolutely none
One of my favorite moments while reading Emma is when Mr. John Knightley is absolutely flabbergasted that Mr. Weston would rather attend a party with several people than sit at home near a fire.
You and me both Mr. Knightley
When this happens I remember that quote from some movie that goes like " Look how they massacred my boy"
when a song you like becomes a tiktok trend: oh baby, what have they done to you? here, come here. i'm sorry i let this happen. oh, you're wounded. my sweet love. i won't let them touch you again.
Couldn't have put it better
living with your parents is a constant cycle of i love you more than i could ever comprehend and i want to get out before i lose my fucking mind
This is so......

I have waiting to come across this one
#did not get it when I read a few months ago
#now that I have a job lmfaoo
Now that the first episode of the season is out, I can finally comment on how hilariously intense the meeting of the Upper Moons was.Â
Like, we really watched (I, even paid money to see in the cinema) the equivalent of Akaza just taking the elevator to the office, pass by the recepcionist, get greeted by the one coworker he canât fucking stand, get chewed up by the boss like every Monday and having to insist to his bitchass coworker that heâd rather die than go âhang outâ after work.
We really saw that but with an animation budget thatâs off the charts.Â

love typing into the Tumblr search bar "anti" and then a thing I am neither a fan nor a hardcore hater of. Show me the drama
people with medical issues are not âputting a strain on the medical systemâ. thatâs what the medical system is for. yes this includes people with substance use related medical issues and other people considered âundeservingâ of help
ok no I'm still annoyed about what they've done to anne elliot. why must every heroine be beautiful, smart, confident, witty, flirtatious, funny, independent, firm-minded etc.?
what about shy women? humble women? lonely women? women who are just sad and a little bit pathetic? not firm enough to speak their mind? not strong enough to know their mind? who are riddled with anxiety and embarrassment? who have genuine faults and mistakes they regret but are too mortified to acknowledge? who know they are being taken advantage of but who keep sacrificing their own happiness to maintain the peace and reputation of their family? who are smart in their own way and happy with that even if it doesn't amount to anything that can be paraded around as a talent? do they not deserve to have their stories told?
I've had enough of snark!!!!! enough of smugness!!!! i wanna see a heroine who is so miserable and lonely and who feels everything so deeply and who yearns so bloody hard for years that she collapses when he finally gives her that letter!!! i want pathetic pining!! i want miserable social interactions!!! i want stolen glances and subtle questions and agonising despair until a confession so cathartic that i faint with her!!!! i want to feel something real!!!!!!!!! god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some of us are not girlboss and its okay
i know everybody is talking about this already but i'm feeling a lot of rage right now towards screenwriters who think they're giving a personality to a female book character when they make her a Girlboss because they don't understand subtlety. they pick a female character that was written by a woman and they're like. we're going to make this character a feminist icon.
i fucking hate this performative feminism and this idea that hollywood has of feminism so much i fucking hate it aaaaaaaaaaaaaah i'm gonna die if this trend of girlbossifying characters doesn't end soon i swear i can't do this anymore
I hope Barbie is so good and successful it makes every executive thatâs turned everything bright and fun made for young girls into edgy boring teen dramas for the last ten years spontaneously combust into flames
i'm so sick of everything being commercialized these days. why do my parents think that me not choosing to be a professional artist is a waste of my skills??? how are my hobbies a waste? can't i just enjoy a thing without everyone bringing capitalism up for like two damn seconds??
