POV you feel eyes on you
Everyone say Hello to Izuru from Danganronpa in my most recent pixel sprite animation~! God this was so fun to work on...
GET THE FULL EXPERIENCE BELOW THE CUT
While working on this I noticed that he steps to the beat of a lot of music.. but this has to be my favorite beat to sync his brooding to.
It GIVES kamukura.. if you wanted to stick around a sec and vibe to his looming.
Also, I would like to shoutout @skrelborns whose art inspired this! The specific piece I will link here since I actually ended up taking a lot of colors from it (;^_^) Your amazing DR2 art fuels this hyperfixation like no other and always puts me in a creative mood. Seriously youre the best.
If youve read this far.. Thank you!! Let me know what iconic Junko poses are the best in the replies. And dont forget to follow to see it when its finished!
crush
I just finished watching the series and I couldn't resist! Also, possibly do another Goro AU with this series but different position (? š
Be careful princessĀ šø
is it four in the morning? ya. do i haven requests i gotta get done? ya. will that stop me? no.
first of all, the main ensemble cast of MHA gets along so well, but what many people donāt know is that while filming the first few episodes the original casting choice for Aizawa had to drop the show entirely due to family issues. Thankfully Aizawa didnāt show up much in the first few episodes, so many of the shots he was in could easily be refilmed and edited in after they had recast the actor, which was stressful.
After the family issues subsided the man who was originally going to play Aizawa still got to feature on the show as Yokumiru Mera, aka the man who runs the provisionary licensing exams.
A lot of the student actors can relate and share some personality traits with their characters, however it is more of a challenge for more of the outlandish characters, such as Mineta, Iida, Bakugo, etc.
āWith [Mineta], you have to wrap your sense of reality. You gotta have an open minded view, and find something, anything that you can relate to yourself. For example, when I was younger I often valued my self worth on the approval of others, and Mineta kinda does that too, in his own way.ā
āIāve always been the type of kid to bend the rules, so Iida admittedly came as a challenge. I always saw rules as limitations, where Iida sees them as guide lines for success, but even that world view begins to shift after the Stain Arcā which is probably my personal favorite arc, by the wayā. He walks the fine line between comedic relief and a serious character, which is probably what I love most about him.ā
āIām not gonna lie, I wasnāt the nicest kid in elementary. I bullied some kids. Iām not proud, but it definitely helped me in terms of figuring out just who Bakugo is. People put down others because they feel low themselves. They want to level the playing feild, make people feel like shit cause they feel like shit. Bakugo can come off as arrogant but heās pretty insecure when you think about it. Pushing around Deku, calling his classmates extras or ācreativeā nicknames, he does it not necessarily because he doubts his own ability, but because heās scared that what he has to offer wonāt end up being good enough. Heās powerful, sure, but is he most powerful?ā āDo you think that keep him up at night.ā ā[Laughs] Maybe, I donāt know. He needs his beauty sleep though, so I hope not.ā
The cast shares a bunch of inside jokes with one another, their personal favorite and longest running gag is the āAizawa Smileā, which is basically the smike you made for your first grade picture day.
Theyāll be shooting lines back and forth at one another and when someone blanks, theyāll slowly creep their mouth up into this horrendous smile
Iida and Mina do it the most, followed closely behind by Denki and Aoyama.
Speaking of Aoyama, he absolutely hates his utility belt
Itās so heavy!
And lowkey v itchy
not fun
Also, Aoyama wasnāt originally French, but after nonchalantly using french words in conversation, the creative team was like āthis mans is onto something.ā
The makeup process?
Awful
Mina and Koda have it worst, but Jiro and Hagakure donāt have much fun either.
While Hagakure doesnāt have to paint her body green, she does have to wear a giant body sock, which is equally, if not more annoying since breathing can be hard as shit to do in that thing.
āAt first I thought her quirk was a thing she could turn on and off, ya know, like everyone else, but apparently not! I learned that the kard way...ā ā[Laughs] I still remember your face! āI gotta wear this for how long?!āā ā[Stifling Laughter] Oh yeah, well Iād like to see you try. Letās swag, Iām Ashido, youāre Hagakure.ā āOh, youāre on!!ā
Sadly and for very obvious reasons they could not do that on show
However after countless begs to the coustume crew, they let Mina try on Hagakureās body suit and do some typical action stunts in it.
Minaās never complaining about the makeup again.
You can not breathe in that thing!
Todorokiās scar is partially real, althought how he got it was completely different.
āOk, this is embarrassing, so I was cooking with my mother when I was about 7 or 8, and we were boiling eggs. The phone rang, so she told me sheād be back and to watch the eggs. The eggs started to make some weird sounds so I tried to check up on the eggs, but since i was short, my way of checking was by tilting the put over. A good chuck of it actually splashed around my eye and not on it, but I guess it looks cooler with a full 1/4 of my face burnt. Sorry I didnāt get it right the first time [Laughs].ā
His hair color is a dark brown, He wears a wig, but the heterchromia is real.
People have told him he looks like Zuko from Avatar and he humbly accepts the compliment every time.
Heās a big ATLA fan.
But heās a cloest fan.
Sato is actually a novice/going on advance baker and chef.
The stuff he makes is pretty good, but it often takes him more than one attempt to het the recipe right.
Everyone loves it when he just pops on set w a bunch of goodies.
Momo in particular
Cause like
girl canāt cook
but she tries!!
Her and Sato actually became pretty close because of this.
Although no one will eat what she makes
No one can stomach it.
Mineta and Aoyama tried once and they almost got food poisoning.
Sero is actually insecure about having pointy elbows irl so playing Sero was pretty sweet.
Heās also very quiet.
Like you wouldnāt know he was there unless youāre looking for him.
Itās not cause heās shy, the boy just doesnāt like vocalizing his thoughts
Or more of he doesnāt know how to.
Meanwhile, Shoji can be such a big chatterbox
Basically Midoriya but his mind hops from one topic to the next.
Heāll be in an interview answering a question about how he feels his character is being developed and what he wishes for his character in the future but then heāll start talking about his favorite villians in the show and fun spoilery moments he canāt wait to see on the big screen and stfu Shoji youāre ruining the show >:( donāt say spoils!!
Shoji was born w a cleft lip, and he used to be insecure about it when he was younger but like...
fuck it, yāknow??
Kaminari can actually be as stupid as his character at times
not that he means too
itās mostly him just misplacing things he either
A. Just had in his hands
B. Are still in his hands
C. He passed off to someone else two minute ago
Heās literally so sweet though
Like heās so close w everyone in the cast
and yes
Bakusquad is real
Except the true Bakusquad consists of Bakugo, Mina, Kirishima, Kaminari, Uraraka, Iida, and Hagakure
Which shocks no one after they released that one episode w all the behind the scenes footage cause they are all so competitive
They have so many miniscule challenges and whatnot going on
But let it be known that the Bakusquad isnāt like some sort of super elite group
They are just the ones who are always trying to one up eachother
Selfies happen all the time
Everyone w Everyone
Mid-makeup selfies
Post-shoot selfies where everyone looks and feels like a wreak
Script reading selfies
Cuddle selfies
Many of the casts memebers will just sorta
cuddle eachother
and itās okay
sometimes you just need it
And it helps fuel the shipping wars
No one takes sides except on Toshinko
Everyone ships Toshinko
People just want Midoriya to have an active father figure in his life and whoops now heās a legitimate father figure in his life haha
Itās sort of a joke ship, sort of a real thing??
Like when fans ask āWhatās your favorite ship??ā Or āWhat ship do you want to see become canon?ā The answer is always defaulted to Toshinko.
The actors of Toshi and Inko are also married iro so that might be a reason too
Speaking of Toshi!!
He was almost an automatic shoe-in for his role, but they still had to find a guy to play his buff āalter egoā, All Might.
Which lead to them hiring his cousin, who was originally a full-time bathing suit model.
Eh, he had time to spare though.
Toshi and All Might are such a vibe
Theyāre the dadsā¢ļø
Might make more cause honestly i eat this AU up >:)
I like a headcannon/theory that I'm gonna share. It's simple with not much to it but here we go.
I personally believe that before the Meta Liberation Army commanders, became commanders, that they had different personalities completely, or were much more shy/nervous/not really knowing where they fit in the world, but the MLA or Redestro gave them confidence and they adapated new personalities.
My main example of this is Chitose "Curious" Kizuki
This is younger Kizuki, from what I see she seems alot more nervous and shy (I blame this on the facial features and the blush) then the older and outgoing Curious we saw in the manga/anime-
I presume younger Curious was before she was officially a commander or hell even completely in the MLA. But the older Curious we see is a commander of the MLA.
Also we know from how Rikiya talked to her, that she originally wasn't good at capturing emotion. But she later tells Toga she "threw away all restraint long ago". This made me think that Curious changed because of Rikiya, and developed a bit of a worse personality. To me her discussion and how far she went with Toga made me think she'll do anything to get what she wants/needs, and this doesn't make me think of younger Curious at all.
Another idea I had for this that I don't have much evidence for is Tomoyasu "Skeptic" Chikazoku. We know that Tomoyasu has an intense fear of failure, and has only failed once it his life according to him (as far as I know thanks to a post, his failure was a failed IT security system for Feel Good Inc.)
I believe that before joining the MLA and/or becoming a commander, Skeptic didn't really have confidence with himself at all. I've seen some people say his upbringing must have been not to well for him to see everything as a possible failure/react so badly to failure. He's even gone close to crazy to prove he didn't fail:
This makes me feel that perhaps Rikiya saw Tomoyasu's success and wanted him in the MLA. And I believe Skeptic took it quickly as a chance to not fail again, since Rikiya praised his success and didn't criticize his failure. Hence his personality coming through as the person he is now, determined not to fail again whereas old Tomoyasu may have just accepted he was failure. This may also be part of while his personality changed, a part of his old self (his fear of failure) stayed with him.
In conclusion: This isn't a really deep headcannon/theory, but I do believe Rikiya made the members of the MLA into brand new people then what they may have been before.
the gumi⦠real
// bsd chapter 100.5/ 101 spoilers
Currently all I can think about is how much hope Tecchou has for finding Jouno, he doesnāt even say āI need to see if Jouno is okayā he just says he needs to find where he is. Inevitably, Tecchou will find out that Jouno is dead-and more, that the person with whom he held the deepest respect for betrayed them and killed him. I am currently ruminating in the ticking bomb that is Tecchouās inescapable crushing grief over his boyfri-great comrades sacrifice and passing.
As much of a downer that was I would like to say that heāll learn that Jouno died being what Tecchou knows he is-a good person. (or at least that Tecchou believes he is)
Preparing for trouble āØ
The reason why this question comes up is because Fukuchi is built up very heavily, as an incredible fighter and as a big boy villain. In comparison, Aya is a self described incredibly average girl with no special traits. So the question goes, how did Aya outsmart Fukuchi?
1. Fukuchi isnāt actually built up to be smart. Fukuchi is strong as hell, he is the perfect soldier, he can take down armies, he is Fukuzawaās equal or greater. But he has never won because he was particularly clever. He wins because he has the overpowered weapons, the element of surprise, and a very good ability (+hunting dogs surgeries). This is not to undermine his overwhelming combat prowess but he is just a little stupid! Do not be fooled by his confusing time shenanigans! This man is more himbo than you think.
You can skip to the next reason but I donāt want to sound like Iām making unbased claims so here is why I think heās (as stated) a little stoop:
In his first ābattleā we see he almost frees his own prisoner, his second battle he wins because of time shenanigans (where at the end he is outsmarted, if by chance), he mistakes a tracking device for a flash drive, he didnāt foresee being found out by Ranpo despite knowing the ADA, he is bested by his own subordinate in battle and again only wins because of time shenanigans, this is a small one but he literally monologues his plan! Bitch what if that tracking device was also a recorder!! Old man doesnāt understand technology. His own subordinate who he expected to betray him gets a hit on his neck, and even after beating said subordinate he didnāt even know then that there was anyone else was in the room, and etc.
2. The encounter of outsmarting was very short, probably under a minute in between Fukuchi finding out someone was in the room, and Fukuchi being called away. I have no doubt that if there were any more time Aya would be dead, but great luck was on her side, very simply.
3. If during his whole fight with Jouno he didnāt realize Aya was there, then him not realizing Aya was in the coffin isnāt that unlikely. Especially since the sound of breathing and rustling would just sound like Bram. Even with the heightened hunting dog senses he isnāt Jouno, he canāt parse different heartbeats.
4. This ties into the first, but he is used to high combat situations. He is not used to these types of encounters (he has subordinates for the grunt work of killing witnesses) so non-head on fights would catch him by surprise. Ayaās moves are so simple that that is what claims her victory in the end.
All of these are theoretical but I find Fukuchiās constant running into small evil plan inconveniences situation to be hilarious, which is beautiful because itās even more surprising then that heās actually the closest to taking over the world and doing the most damage any character ever has. Fukuchi as a villain is Fyodors opposite, where Fyodor has the all encompassing vibe of having everything planned out, Fukuchi has small issues constantly stopping him. While Fyodor commands total respect from his subordinates, 3/4 of Fukuchiās have gone against his plan in some way (two directly betraying him). Where Fyodor killed nobody noteworthy, Fukuchi has killed 3 well established strong characters. Fukuchi being bested by a 10 year old is the biggest highlight of their differences: where Fyodorās plans are a graceful sword slash, Fukuchiās plans are a bashing mallet.
