It has literally taken me 5 hours to find 1 pair of dress pants that even sort of fit.
9 Problems with Women’s Clothing And the worst part is that clothing companies do it because they know we’ll still buy their products. But do we have much other choice?
as a way of fighting against how bullshit Autism Speaks and its shitty “Light It Up Blue” campaign (for more information of why you shouldn’t support Autism Speaks, see here for a masterpost of resources and reasons why it’s a bad company) and that one anonymous douchebag we got a few days ago about how Luna can’t be autistic, today we’re going to only be posting shitposts about Luna Lovegood, a character who is definitely autistic and nothing you can say will ever change my mind :D
(someone asked about the full version of this, so here u go)
“Wait,” says Sam, “you had a publicist?”
“For my first five months at S.H.I.E.L.D,” says Steve. “Then she quit. Uh, decisively.”
“Well yeah, she had to keep you in line,” Bucky says with a half-smirk. “How many times did you make that poor lady want to sock you in the face?”
“Lost count,” Steve admits. “I did offer to let her, once. Seemed fair.”
Sam laughs. “I feel like you’re sitting on a story here.”
“There’s no story,” Steve tells him. Sam raises his eyebrows. Bucky’s half-smirk tilts towards a full smirk. “Seriously,” Steve repeats, “no story.”

Binary gendered language is one of those things that often goes unnoticed even at churches that are trying to be LGBTQ inclusive. Breaking the binary is a simple change that can make a difference.
How might you incorporate this language into your prayers, sermons, and church activities?

You can't really say for all of American students how much homework they get, I'd also rephrase that bc it sounds like you're saying they're at fault for doing what kids do which is explore their world and learn through social interactions. Today it includes social media and Netflix and it may not be the best use of their time but most teens can't function the same way as adults.
Right, that’s why I tried to qualify it by saying “at most schools.” My school is known for giving a lot of homework, and that’s largely what I’m basing my observations off of since I don’t spend that much time with people at other schools. (Other American high school students are welcome to chime in here! I don’t claim to speak for everyone.)
You may be right that it sounds like I’m blaming them. If you have suggestions for rephrasing feel free to send me them.
Harry Potter is the earliest one I can think of. There were probably others before that, but I can’t think of them off the top of my head.
what was your first special interest, that you can remember?
Yes, it is true that many of them involved relationships. However, there is a subtle difference between attacking someone for not dating you, attacking someone who is dating you, and attacking your ex.
Nevertheless, you’re absolutely right that all of these are terrible and that stereotyping women as less violent than men only makes things worse.
shocking
I believe that most people on this thread are upset at the doctors, not at other people on the thread (apart from the one exchange at the top). I hope that I don’t have to explain why it matters for doctors to believe patients about their symptoms?
Also, this isn’t about doctors giving patients the diagnosis that they “want”. This is about doctors giving patients an accurate diagnosis of what they actually have.
Finally, I know ally-falls-downstairs in real life and I can vouch for their credibility.
being a female means needing to see 10 different doctors to get a proper diagnosis because they always think you’re exaggerating and/or lying
Other examples:
-The Aeneid is fanfic of the Iliad and the Odyssey
-Romeo and Juliet is fanfic of Ovid
So, when I was doing my thesis on whether or not fanfiction should be considered a legitimate genre of literature, my advising professor asked me for examples. I gave him the generic ones, of course - “Pride & Prejudice and Zombies” is a horror fanfic of “Pride & Prejudice”, “50 Shades of Grey” is an erotica fic of “Twilight" - and that seemed to make him understand what fanfiction is, but not how it’s useful. So I thought about it, and, after about a minute, I said, “Paradise Lost is basically a fanfiction of the Book of Genesis. And The Divine Comedy is an epic self-insertion fic for Catholic doctrine. So, basically, you were teaching us fanfiction last semester.” I had never before seen a grown man’s eyes widen with such fear, incomprehension, disgust, awe, and understanding.
