Okay guys this is kinda important. GQ just came in the mail and for the first time in a long while it had a really important article…
I just sat here for like the last half hour reading this and I’m incredibly appalled at our justice system in regards to the military. The article interviews about 23 men who have all been sexually assaulted in some branch of the military. The PTSD from sexual assault in the military is more prevalent than PTSD from combat…
If you have a chance I suggest reading this article…and the title is a quote that one of the victims Doctor told him…
Yesterday, I was at Pride with a friend, when we noticed a homophobic street preacher. This preacher was surrounded by a small crowd and shouting loudly about how LGBT+ people are sinful.
At this point, my friend turned to me and says, “I have an idea. Can I borrow your shoe?”
I handed my shoe to my friend, who immediately took up a spot on the street next to the preacher and started preaching about the Holy Shoe, culminating in the line, “If you do not worship the shoe, you will go to sandal-and-sock hell!”
Based on the calculations of an inspired fan, we put together a list of how many galleons you can expect to shell out to peep the next Chudley Cannons game.

What if instead of gilly weed Harry had showed up to the black lake challenge in muggle scuba gear like “like where’s your advanced magic now bitches? Got me a free fishing knife with this thing”
Hey, I just published a new essay on Medium about Autism Speaks and why it’s so dangerous. Go give it a read!
so a lot of fantasy settings do the thing where there’s one or two or maybe three human societies, all based on European cultures unless they’re bad guys, and then the non-human cultures are all based on non-European cultures, like orcs will be loosely based on Mongols and there’ll be an animal race with superficial Native American trappings. And for many reasons this can get really annoying.
But what if we turn it around? There’s an awful lot to explore if we stick a different angle on it. I want to see a thing where the human kingdoms are based on, say, imperial Mali around the time of Mansa Musa and the Mughal empire, and then maybe the orcs are based on pre-Roman Gaul, and the marauding beastfolk raiders look like Polish winged hussars, and your secretive-and-xenophobic but wise-and-spiritual elves or whatever are based on all the most alien and unfamiliar bits of medieval Catholicism.
You can't really say for all of American students how much homework they get, I'd also rephrase that bc it sounds like you're saying they're at fault for doing what kids do which is explore their world and learn through social interactions. Today it includes social media and Netflix and it may not be the best use of their time but most teens can't function the same way as adults.
Right, that’s why I tried to qualify it by saying “at most schools.” My school is known for giving a lot of homework, and that’s largely what I’m basing my observations off of since I don’t spend that much time with people at other schools. (Other American high school students are welcome to chime in here! I don’t claim to speak for everyone.)
You may be right that it sounds like I’m blaming them. If you have suggestions for rephrasing feel free to send me them.
