theyre fine probably
bonus:
Somebody mentioned in a tag on one of my posts the scene where Marco Animorphs is showering after antmageddon and he finds an ant stuck to his hip by the pincers where it presumably was trying to bite him in half when he was an ant and then it died from him becoming very big very fast and I feel like that scene, and the scene where Cassie finds a sliver of a sentient person’s flesh between her teeth while she’s flossing and then flosses until her gums bleed, really deserve recognition in the literary canon. Applegate deserves an award. There should be a TV Trope named after whatever the fuck that is. Like fridge horror but diegetic. Bathroom horror. Your bedtime bathroom routine as an opportunity for personal confrontation with the violent detritus of the dead which lingers in and on your body even after you have ostensibly stripped yourself of weapons and healed over all your wounds.
The dynamic of Cassie and Rachel is making me insane. What if someone was your conscience but also you resented them for making you feel like you were a bloodthirsty monster? What if your friend had the courage to do what you couldn't but made you feel weak and stupid for sticking to your morals? What if you went shopping at the mall together about it?
You remind me of someone I know from the past. The face, the look, and the stance. Someone I want to forget about. Not to think about. Not to talk about. And you sit across me, only to remind me in the remaining days of what I want to forget the most. -Keerthana Muthiah
I have a head cannon that sometimes JJ kinda takes over every once in a while and Jason is the only one who can talk to Tim without him freaking out because all Tim can process in those moments is the voice and face of his Robin, his hero, who’s there to protect him. That’s very lightly digging into the depths of these head cannons but I don’t have enough time to go super into detail.

i'm not paralyzed, but i seem to be struck by you, i wanna make you move because you're standing still 🎸
saw someone point out that Tim wasn’t immediately jumping to become Robin, and that he had gone to Dick multiple times before deciding that he himself had to step in. I don’t think Tim blames Dick but I do think there’s a tiny bit of resentment because he doesn’t fully understand why Dick couldn’t just come back to Gotham in order to help Bruce instead of a complete stranger doing it.
