The trio is having a well deserved rest after a day full of adventuring and dragonslaying.
I don't know what they're talking about here, but I'd imagine Kharjo and J'zargo are trying to convince Faenil of something. They usually wait until Faenil is all happy and drunk until they ask for a day off or whatnot.
If there's one Elder Scrolls theory I'm 100% convinced is true, it is that Orc men must have the highest rate of homosexuality out of all the Elder Scrolls races. If the Orc Chieftains are the only ones who can have wives and kids, what do you think all the other Orc men in the clans do when they get lonely? That's right: each other.
I've never seen this ship anywhere but I genuinely think it could work and I think it's cute so hear me the fuck out:
Talvas Fathryon / Brelyna Maryon
They're both overly ambitious, they're both Dunmer mages, they're both dorks, and they're both members of House Telvanni. It could totally work.
(I bring a sort of “Everyone has inherent worth regardless of their productivity” Vibe to every conversation that ableists don’t really seem to like)
Girl help I'm at the chopping block
I'm fucking dying at this page someone shared on Bluesky.
Behold, the Embroidery Trouble Shooting Guide that forgot to close its <h3> tags.
I think the Temple is just a little mad because they keep sending buoyant armigers to try and get me out of Dagoth Ur (the building)
Dumb s'wits. If I wanted out I would GET OUT. Go away.
When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally” I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.
a bottom-tier autistic experience is being told throughout your entire childhood that you are just an overthinker when it comes to social situations and later finding out that your friends did, in fact, hate being around you and tried to communicate that through weird little hints
7 and 45 for the writing asks >:) I know you've done some really meaty TES worldbuilding and I'm always fascinated by how people can extrapolate so much on what bare bones we're given
45. What’s something you’ve improved on since you started writing fic?
GRAMMAR. And punctuation. I couldn't properly use a comma to save my LIFE before my benevolent and patient beta readers pointed out all of the things I was doing incorrectly. From dialogue tags to dangling participles, I feel like my grasp on grammar has improved leaps and bounds within the last 6 years that I've been writing fic regularly. (And getting feedback).
7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?
Oh lord this is a tough one. I've really enjoyed working with the Falmer, obviously. I was very excited to make the connection between a blind race adopting sound magic (Tonal Architecture) into their culture. Especially since it's a reclamation of sorts. Re-taking the power that their slavers used to subdue them.
But I also had A LOT of fun with...ah fuck I just went looking and realized IT'S NOT EVEN PUBLISHED. Okay, random snippet from "Ex Oblivione" below the cut on the Daedric realms and traveling between them. Explained to us by none other than my favorite teacher who never asked to be a teacher, Neloth:
“I’ve been to Apocrypha,” Aerik argued. “I know what it’s like.”
Neloth tutted and shook his head, a smug smile curling the corners of his mouth. “My dear boy, you’ve accessed Apocrypha through a Black Book. Your physical body remained here, on Nirn. What you perceived as ‘Apocrypha’ was simply a single tome. The full realm stretches the length of Tamriel, if not Nirn itself.”
With a quick gesture, Neloth procured a glimmering, ethereal map in the air before them—a map of Tamriel.
“Think of the planes of Oblivion as such…” He pulled his hands apart, and the map separated into multiple layers of different colors. “They exist in parallel to our own world, overlapping and congruous. The Daedra did not create their realms, for they are incapable of creation. Instead, they used Mundus as a sort of… blueprint, if you will. Each plane mirrors our own in this sense. Fargrave, by comparison…” Another gesture and a diagonal map appeared in the center of the planes, dissecting the others. “Fargrave is an anomaly. None can say how it originated, if by Aedra, Daedra, or other beings entirely. But its position allows access to almost any known plane of Oblivion.”
“This is great,” said Aerik with a nod as he stroked his beard thoughtfully. “I’m a visual learner, so this is helping me a lot.”
Neloth waved the maps away and they dissipated like clouds of shimmering smoke. “Because of this overlap, it is not guaranteed that we will arrive anywhere nearby the location we need to be in order to find Miraak. We must be able to locate the approximate area of Apocrypha that corresponds with Solstheim, since this appears to be the seat of Miraak’s power and the point at which he is attempting to break into our world. This will be the most difficult task, and it may take time to calculate.”
Sex is good and all, but have you guys ever had a fic update while you were re-reading it?
If I were a security guard for a person who’s being targeted by assassins I simply wouldn’t devote my entire attention span to every single noise I hear.

Disability is not a punishment, but I think the world would be genuinely improved if every person involved in writing or regulating ingredient labels was mysteriously inflicted with at least one food allergy falling under each of the following categories: "natural flavors," "modified food starch," "artificial flavors," "spices," and "color." Down with ingredient labels so vague that they defeat the entire fucking point.
TES fans will be like "we love unreliable narrators!" and then rely on them
oc doodles, my nerevarine is a loser dumpster fire who has bad vibes and looks like a sparkledog
i cannot be the only one who reads it this way
reblog if you’re okay with people writing fanfics of your fanfics and/or fanfics inspired by your fanfics
people who write their fics directly onto archive of our own site do not fear death by the way
in all seriousness, please always keep backups of your works, write them somewhere else (google doc is a good choice) then copy and paste onto ao3 when you're done, because ao3 itself does not automatically save your works for you, meaning you can lose all of your progress
@thana-topsy we're more like casual mooties not assuming friendship but i gotta give you a shoutout bc i adore your writing
reblog if you have skilled writer friends and you're damn proud of them
This shit literally looks like those evil underground science labs in movies where they do unethical experiments on children
If you consume fanfic on ao3 and are 18+ and American I need you to lock in and call your senators saying you oppose a federal porn ban. This would effectively ban ao3 and being queer in public, among many other things, due to the intentionally vague language of the bill. I’m counting on queer tumblr and fandom tumblr to help me get the word out that you have to call your senators
Personally I hate AI because it uses slave labor, is killing the planet and is making people stupid, but that's just me. The soulless art aspect is just one little piece of my grander disdain.
