Drawing reference
A quick Hot Tip for drawing shoes from me; a man who enjoys looking at shoes maybe too much
It’s good to draw some kind of foot looking shape before you draw shoes so they’re like the right size and shape but sometimes I see people draw soles as like flat things hovering under the feet but if you look at your own shoes you’ll see that the inside of your shoes are not flat, they’re bottom of your foot shaped and your feet sink into them a bit so they’re comfortable and not like slapping an oval block of wood to your foot
So the outside band on shoes is usually somewhere higher than you might think
Of course in many real shoes there’d be a bit of an arch from a raised up heel or something, so I probably should have drawn some feet instead of lazying out, but hopefully you get the idea.
Can you rec some of your favorite books?
sure thing!!

For all those who want to take their pulse on their foot, for whichever reason here is how (there are multiple ways, but this was the easiest way for me): "Locate the medial malleolus: 2-3cm below and behind it you should find the posterior tibial pulse. When taking the pulse on your own foot it is easier to use the thumb." http://www.gla.ac.uk/ibls/US/fab/tutorial/generic/sapulse.html ^link where I got the information, as well as additional leg pulse points.
THE WATCHMAKER OF FILIGREE STREET by NATASHA PULLEY

I picked this book up a couple of days ago purely because a) I was in a Game of Thrones re-read rut and b) someone whose taste I trust recommended it to me, and I am SO GLAD that those things happened at the same time because otherwise I probably never would have bothered with this WEIRD, WHIMSICAL LITTLE BOOK, AND I NEVER WOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT I WAS MISSING!!!
it’s impossible to be like ‘oh, if you liked so-and-so you’ll love this!’ or ‘it’s for fans of x, y and z!’ because it’s INDEFINABLE. (but I guess if you’re into lots of weirdly niche things – like the social history of Victorian England, or watchmaking, or old-timey physics, or the Japanese civil war in 1877, or all of those things in one book, with bonus Irish Republicanism and low key mind-blowing Stuff surrounding clairvoyance – then give it a read maybe.)
but if you like CLOCKWORK OCTOPI WHO STEAL PEOPLE’S SOCKS, or UPPITY LADY SCIENTISTS, or TEA, or ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES and SOULMATES, then you should absolutely check this book out, because it will warm your heart. it will melt your heart. it will roast your heart over an open flame. it will set your heart ablaze. a blackened husk will be all that is left of you and your heart. I cannot look directly at my watch, for I am burned.

why is this so goddamn funny
You can put the burden of proof on them be like "yo that's crazy! Can you share a link to what they posted?" Either a: they don't have one (because it doesn't exist - because it's inherently false)
b: if they share a link you can either refute it by explaining that that wasn't a real blm Facebook page or that it didn't call for genocide.
Good luck!
can someone give me something to say to this? i’m so tired and i’m bad at arguing and i fucking hate her lmao
