April 24, 2025 — I haven’t been very productive this week, but I did start reading Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry. It’s one of my most anticipated reads of the year and I’m excited to dive in. Though it’s been an off week for me, I’m hoping to self study over the weekend. I’ve been itching to learn something new.

Catching up on my reading notes in the library after a fun and relaxing weekend in the mountain area 🌲🥹🤍📝🕯️
Classes start today.
Feeling a bit apprehensive because I decided to take as many classes as possible this semester, and it's going to be tough. But as much as I love studying, and as much as I worry about the future, I really really want to get closer to the finish line.
On top of my classes, I also need to come up with a research question for my master's thesis (hence the book in the picture – hoping for some inspiration). I have a few ideas, but so far, I'm not in love with any of them.
At least the weather's nice! (although we desperately need some rain...)
07.04.2025 // First entry!
Now starting this new side blog because I really wanted to journal my studies and maybe find some long lost motivation for the new semester on the way.

2025. 04. 28 | The weekend.
Koningsnacht and Koningsdag, we took it easy this year.
I had a pretty bad week a couple weeks ago at work and just mentally checked out for a bit, which was easy to do because it’s basically been Pasqua weekend, work retreat, Koningsdag, and now we’re back. Like a month later lol.
There’s just casual racism, sexism, xenophobia by some people there and not really anybody recognizing it, so I lost my drive for work for a bit.
Anyway, today was the first real day back and my student and I spent it in the lab. There are setbacks but we’re making some progress. I’m just excited to finally get going.
While in Normandie my partner and I stumbled upon a salon du livre, spending an afternoon browsing through old books with a love one is so comforting 📚❤️
April 22nd, 2025
Tuesday already but I still have this week off. However, I'll have to start working a bit today as there's a pile of exams to grade and some classes to plan waiting for me. My plan is to do something during the day and work 1-2 hours each night. That way it'll still feel like vacation.
To do for today:
- get an overview of the things I have to do before school starts
- prepare one exam
- grading
